You say that, but it's easier to find the positives in a player/team you like than negatives. If you truly watch as a neutral, you'll see Messi lost the ball many times in key matches and didn't turn up when Neymar did. Like PSG, that away loss to PSG, Messi lost it so many times that he conceded many goals from it. Same with Juve. He's doing amazing, the brace vs Madrid was pure magic, but a RM support could say the manager forced them to be too attacking in the last seconds of the game which led to the counter that Messi scored from. In the end, the team isn't the same Barca quality of some years back so there won't be glory to go with the Messi performances. I hope he moves at least once and tries another league, don't think Barca can handle him now.,

So barca scored because ZZ forced them to play toooo attacking. That sounds like an excuse or discrediting.

Messi is the best player in the world so far. To discredit him in any shape or form is pure insanity.

Yes Leonardito. You got the point but aren't applying it to everything. If Enrique was in RM's position and was drawing and could take the point and didn't need to win the game there and then and take that much of a risk, and then he attacked with full force and allowed a team like RM to counter and win the game with the last kick of the game and put the title at risk... most Barca fans would say Enrique was terrible that match and cost them the match. It was poor by ZZ and even a Barca fan that watches the game as a neutral too, would say the same. but also it could be an excuse, it goes both ways with both teams. But most people watch the game with bias and miss many things naturally in their mind. Barca played well, and I never discredited them. Swap teams and views change.

@LoveKavi because El Clasico is more than just points, and ZZ understand that very well, especially since it is in Santiago Bernabeu, that was why they played attacking football in the last few minutes.

madrid ll be hungry.. u can see that after 3/4 weekends.. barca get two tropys del n la liga.. ucl for juve..

now thats really funny coming from an Ac milan fan , is your team even in serie A anymore they have been shit for so long i forgot they existed.

Neymar had a better game than messi.. messi did nothing extraordinary to say god.... have you seen neymar performance?? be fair if ur actually a fan of barca....

Nope Suarez had a better game than Messi and Neymar combined

Messi is not GOD he is human blessed by GOD to play the beautiful game GOD is eternal GOD is Greatest and creator of all creation

tribal if you say so.... that will make u sleep good at night...

maradonatbe ur religion is very clear...

KaeJan07 are you serious that Neymar had a better game than Messi? did you realized that neymar wasted a lot of chances with his left foot? i know you are saying that he was better due to his individual performance. But Messi create some chances for him but he wasted it.

I mean Messi is a God in football! It seems some people misunderstood it!

Suarez was MOTM in reality but band wagons give it to Messi because it's Messi not Suarez because of his past actions

Hi Spartans, still trolling ?

Lmao who the heck is spartans?

That first dribble tho...

deflection and you make it seems all that...

KawJan07. What's your problem? I am praising my teams best player..did I brought cr7 and real madrid into the context? Why are you so insecure with the Messi presence.. grow up dude..

Sorry diehardbarca, it's true. You can't praise people over and over again and at the same time most probably put down another player if he did the same. A heavy deflection, is a heavy deflection. Luck, he created his own luck to be honest, but in the end, it was a deflection. No need to hype someone over that, or you could call a division 5 player that scores a deflection amazing.

Who gassed this KaeJan07 guy? Messi scored 8 goals from outside the box this season, more than any other player in europe top 5 league, you seem so mad that he scored a fluke deflection goal lol.

Lovekavi -- if you watch the game without considering your love for another guy you will speak fair and honestly.. anyways long shots are lucky and it is upto the players to take the risk so better calm down let us enjoy.. you just hate and your opinion doesn't bother barca fans...

Look at all these trolls complaining about Messi's beautiful goal.. jealous that Penaldo can't score even in the box?

When Ronaldo does score like that, he gets slated for a deflection or lucky goal. As a neutral, you'd say it to both players. I did say Messi played amazing and made his own luck by having the shot in the first place, but to say it was beautiful or amazing or something out of this world is far fetched. If any average player did that it wouldn't be classified as amazing or anything, it would be classified as a normal goal, or good goal at most. It's the bias in peoples minds that create these arguments between players etc... Because no one takes in the beautiful game for what it is.

LoveKavi -- you being a ronaldo fan should come out of underdog mindset.. nobody said when real defeated wolfsburg in a return everyone appreciated ronaldo although all of his goals came from a big deflections.. so don't cry here to compare ronaldo to messi..

Lovekavi -- we Barca fans do realize our season fucked up because of stupid laliga officials otherwise we would have the laliga this year and all of this is done to stop Messi and Barca from another glory by Tebas.. it is much painful for us to follow a team in laliga where every team likes to beat Barca for rivalry because of stupid political influence.. I am pretty sure you're one of those glory hunters who switched teams after ronaldo's 2008 move and I am pretty sure you will celebrate after June 3 unfortunately because your a plastic fan.

it amazing how barca fans are like this... im fair or i try to be... a goal is a goal but why is it so hard to just say yes it was a deflection and nothing special about it... a brillant and special messi outside the box goal is the goal against brazil when it ended 4-3 or even in world cup against the african side... and u spelled my name wrong... wh
ich shows how blind u are to whats obvious.... like the name is right in front of you....

lovekavi u are so true.... i can say proudly that barca fans are the most bias and stuck up people.... no player dribbles like messi but there are better dribbles... like robben to name the most outstanding one.... but no one thinks anything of it... messi is no god to football...

It's that attitude yes that ruins football. Beacuse I've seen Barca score many offside goals last season when they won the la liga, and even this season, and decisions going against real too... In the end it's all fairly even and really, you should never blame officials. You have 90 mins to score more goals than your opponents, it's in your skillset and team level if you can't score more and blame refs. Move on, or people bring up other moments to rival these comments and it never ends.

Agreed.. this is football ballon d or is based on trophies you won since 2015.. so I am okay this year ronaldo winning ballon d or and remember there always a next year, god will be graceful to Barca

our only hope is sevilla to beat real madrid. should have win against malaga though.

They won't lose against Sevilla at home, Malaga is away so that might be a small chance but probably the only one i see them actually dropping a few points against is Celta Vigo away (postponed match)

That would be a complete disgrace, if we judge on individual performance. A player doesnt have to pay for his teammates failure nor another being praised for last minute accomplishment of his teammates. If Juve win CL Buffon should take it, and for me Modric, Marcelo and Ramos contributed most in Madrid success this season.

That's the funny thing about this award. It's supposed to be an individual award (based on how good you were individually throughout a season), not a team award. I look back at the years and see many brilliant individuals haven't won this award despite being key player in a winning team. It's been years now that I'm not taking this award serious.

Suarez > both Messi and Neymar

@tribal What games have you been watching? He has not been his best in awhile.

Suarez scored 4 goals and 3 assists last season against deportivo in 1 game. Never seen anyone else do that even Messi and ronlaod

Did you really just try to make a case for a game last year against Deportivo? Brah it's time to stop typing and revaluate your logic.

good to know that 1 game will calculate the whole performance of an individual the entire year.

@najdinho Suarez has been world class ever since 2013 I can easily make a case

@forcacataluna Suarez outscored and out assisted Messi AND ronaldo last season and this season Suarez has over 35 goals which is good for an out of form Barcelona

@tribal LOL whatever floats your boat.

No whatever floats your boat

Yeah he needs to improve on his finishing, but damn is he a joy to watch and he provides alot of chances for others to score

haha tribal is trolling you guys xD

That first have nearly gave me a heart attack.

What about suàrez?

yeah he is good aswell
