Now if you watch Ronaldo closely, except it's a really important goal, for example a very important Champs league goal or maybe the goal that wins Real Madrid the game, Ronaldo RARELY ever celebrates other people's goals. While the rest of his team mates are jumping and hugging and stuff, he usually slowly makes his way over to them, gives a couple of high fives and that is it. Sometimes the man doesn't even smile. You're the one that needs to start observing closer.

I think it's the Xabi Alonso synergy. Kroos is amazing but xabi and Modric was an incredible partnership. A partnership that really no one spoke about. Probably because they didn't play long with each other. Ronaldo was more agile and faster on the wing and really RM were a faster team in those seasons. Seems more tactical now and modric only plays the ball when it's less risky.
