I am a barcafan heart and soul and yet I don't seem to understand why everytime people vote Messi man of the match. He was outstanding today like always but the true MVP was Ter Stegen. Without his crucial saves we would have lost this match.

Eibar were destroying us after busquets injury. World class goalkeeping from Ter Stegen. So glad he stayed with us

He was my MOTM. I never like to say a goodkeeper makes 'outstanding' saves when others repeat it. Plus, he was kinda edgy in that second half. Strong performance nonetheless.

Hmmm besides two particularly outstanding saves I would not consider him MOTM. He simply did his job well and was his best game all year. Considering his past performances he hasn't by no means been outstanding this year. Messi handed us chance after chance and our finishing was extremely sloppy.

Are you stupid. Umtiti has had the most solid performances out of all the defenders. I saw him play today and yeah he was shaky but nobody was helping around him. And just a quick fact in every La liga game Umtiti has started, Barcelona have won. Can't say that about Pique or Masche. I don't know if you're a bandwagoner but if you've followed Barcelona a long time you know it takes time to adjust to the Barcelona system. (I.e. Suarez, Rakitic, Turan) and then they had baller seasons. Ive been watching Barcelona and football since 06. And I can tell you that this team is solid. It's not perfect and there could be a lot better, but the defense is the least of our concerns. Oh and don't be quick to judge Lucho or any of his signings because they need to broken into the Barca system.

Alright, cant denied that Umtiti had luck LOL, based on this game, he cant even passed the ball accurately to his teammates, and caused counter attack from opponent, he had luck that opponent could not take the opportunity to score a goal.
