I have seen so many comments saying dropping Casemiro and playing James in midfield because he is back on form and look dangerous. I understand that James is a class player but you CAN NOT drop casemiro. Every succesful team needs someone who can protect the back four so that they won't be exposed, and Casemiro offers you just that, a steel in midifield. Look what happened when ancelotti played modric, james, and kroos, and isco, RM completely fucked up and won no trophies.

morata is not a proper striker for madrid, even for a backup. they need another one.

Morata is a decent striker with a high potential and more thant everything he wants play and score for the team at every time so he is not the best but he can obviously be a lot better than this

Asensio is a top talent in worlds football but playing james as a substitute is not ok, james should start otn the wing and if it doesn't work bring in asensio not the other way around, and today was the perfect example of that

this isnt fifa bro.. just because James may be of higher status or whatever doesnt mean he should be an automatic starter.... Asensio gives Real Madrid a different dynamic.. works harder as well as is faster than James which is apparently what Zizou wants from his team or that specific position.

When the King Cr7 and Benzema gets back, Zidane needs to play James every game as CAM. I know that Casemiro is playing Good but James looks more Dangers now, he's back on form. Even thou Madrid won the match but still missing Ronaldo. HalaMadrid

I don't know but in my opinion, Casemiro is supposed to take the defensive part of the midfield. Remember years ago, either Ramos or Pepe was placed in the midfield to accommodate that. If James play as CAM, then Kroos or Modric are the ones that would lost place.

If you do this, you lose Modric and Kroos their magic. Because they'll need to defend instead of Casemiro. If they take the defensive part, they won't be able to attack as much as they're doing now.

Why this comment has some dislikes? James and Lucas did more than what Asensio did for 70 mins, Nothing against him tho, he has so much quality, so high potential but he is not even near to be starter for Real Madrid.

I kinda disagree, Asensio is the youth product of Real and he has been performing greatly. I like James a lot too and I hate to see him being benched, but ATM I think Asensio looks better. But James' determination and technique is awesome again. I hope he remains and earn back his place

Yes on the pass from Modric, he's offside and interfering with the play. Clearly the ref should have called it. Was hard to spot at full speed though. He's only 1-2 yards offside trying to come back onside. Doesn't make it right for Celta. He was a bit unlucky though when hitting the post 5 min later. Still that's extra 2 points going RM's way. Awesome goal by Kroos though. Top class.

"If a player is in an offside position, but not involved in the play, it is not an offside." if you look at the replay, you can see that Morata did not touch the ball at all.
