Awesome keep it up!!! Football seems to work for the us (Ukranians), we should develop it further. Can you imagine if Russia was actually enticed to invade us on the false pretexts of western media space manipulations. We here in Lviv are lied too. I knew those fcken Russians are too smart for our provocations. Good thing we kick the ball instead of ourselves or worse we would be 6 feet under. Lets not fcuk with Moscow.

Some people here are trying to demerit Sevilla by bringing up that penalty but they say nothing of the LEGITIMATE disallowed goal Sevilla had scored 8 minutes prior to the penalty, huh? Maybe because it doesn't fit their narrative of poor, widdle Shakhtar being robbed by big, bad Sevilla.

Way to go, referee!

One wrongly disallowed goal, and one false penalty. Referee of the year.

When will FIFA start fining referees and banning them just like they fine and ban players?

Just saw Krohn-Dehlis horrific injury. I hope he'll recover well... but it really looked like a career-ending injury.

While technically it's a foul either way, I will admit it's a harsh penalty. Vitolo obviously didn't need to fall, although I guess he would say he was fouled anyways. In the end, I think it makes up for the goal incorrectly ruled out a few minutes before by Gameiro.

Why cant we develop this instead of fighting. Sport brings everyone together, save the competition, no need for civil war. The Russians are too smart to be drawn into a western led provocations. Besides whats the point. Look at how we are able to perform at the European level. Slava Ukram!!!!

siamo devided as well maldo and what!?!? You guys in the north don't understand. Let the Ukranians fight with each other so what. as long we are cordoned of from those slavs.

Very good result by Sevilla. Return leg should be another cracker and i fancy Sevilla to go through. They're just too strong at home while Shakhtar are not as good away as they are at home.

How about their trashing of Schalke at Veltins Arena? Schalke is a better side than Sevilla.

OLP 10 years ago
Normally Shakhtar does better at home than away. And secondly, Schalke is most definitely NOT a better side than Sevilla. I expect Sevilla to kick Shakhtar out at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

Sevilla looked so slick in their play. I think they're the favorites now that Dortmund is out.

I feel sorry for Shaktar. Football need a Video Referee, like in Rugby. Just because semi-finals cannot be killed like that. They have microphones anyway... And the "fourth referee" does nothing... Why not sit in front of a computer and rewind different situations... It is a matter of 10-15 seconds...

Dont think it was a penalty, but Sevilla scored a legal goal that was disallowed a couple of minutes before. Great match regardless, Shaktar were electric the first half and Sevilla dominated the second

Yeah it was. He got merely touched and made the most of it. Ref fell for his theatricals and he got the penalty...

If you think that a trailing toe that touched a players' boot, who still had possession after the defender slid away from him, is enough to make him fall like that, "agonizing" in "pain", then I suggest you play football a bit more and use your common sense.
Shakhtar were robbed.

@Hagi: He caught him with his studs up, sliding. You don't think that would hurt and influence him enough to put him off stride? There was contact, it was in the penalty box and it was a goal opportunity. There is no argument to be made there, but try again. Further, did you SEE the tackle from behind off the ball outside of the box 20 seconds prior? Shakhtar were playing dirty, and deserved what happened.

Lol stfu Amerr30 why don't YOU watch it again. That wasn't a penalty. Only clipped the the tip of the defender's boot and the guy fell like he's been shot! Wtf lmao

Don't forget he was on one foot and it's the one that got the tackle on. He also seemed to want to accelerate away from the direction he fell. Of course, then he added more things to make it look painful but it was still a tackle that got him down in the box.
