Robbery: Benfica's rank dominance over Atletico is not that clear cut as you may think (you are being biased) same goes for Bardiel and suswebosay. Let's just stay with: Benfica and Atletico are comparably historically at the same level (maybe not this season as I think Atletico might have a bit of an advantage).

If you wanna go through all the stats, year by year they change a lot: www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/club/season=2013/index.html [yes, I picked a biased year, but go forward]
Benfica however, had a very famous golden era, and we rank 7th on the number of participations in europe cup finals and titles (ahead of Atletico). You have one good argument Atletico: Spanish Liga is harder, and in that same ranking Real Madrid is 1st and Barcelona 3rd.

Well played Atletico. Benfica are also a great team. They showed it when they beat us in Madrid (although back then we were still under construction and we are much more solid now) and they made us suffer at the end with their enthusiasm (although they didn't have many chances overall). Atletico were better today. And the future looks bright!

why? only because you scored in the last 15 minutes? don´t be a girl and stop crying. Ateltico is much much better by far than Benfica. In fact, some of your players were players that we didn´t want and we gave them to you, and all your best players want to play with us.

@suswebosay, lol the bias. Benfica is a far bigger club than Atletico and any player would rather play for Benfica than Atletico tbh. Atletico have only been relevant in the last couple of years; Benfica have been relevant since the origin of football. I'm not a Benfica supporter, but it's clear you're biased when you say Atletico is much better than Benfica lol.

Robbery if you don´t know about football please stop saying stupid things. Atletico Madrid has 10 spanish leagues, 10 spanish cup, 2 CL finals (one of those again Bayern), 3 Europe Leagues, 1 Intercontinental cup. And you say that Atletico have only been revelant the last couple of year as we were Man City or something like that. You're stup id man

Don't be silly Robbery. Atletico are (and have always been) a top 10 club in Europe. You are probably young and have seen the end of the 90s and beginning of the 2000 when we had problems as an institution. Other than that Atletico were ALWAYS a strong force in Spain and Europe. Unlike clubs like Chelsea, Man City or PSG than are strong now cause they are new rich (with all due respect to these teams).

@milanlamiavita Eh what? Is it another poor attempt to lure me into nerd wars?

@Bardiel, they have not always been a top 10 club in Europe. They hardly had any impact in European competition for 30 years.
