First, I would not call this a friendly tournament. Second, there wasn't any extremely dangerous tackles or anything from NZers, just lots of small fouls which is just how physical teams play. Third, the Mexican player who got injured is cause he landed bad, it was not the fault of the NZ player at all (Wood receives an arm blow first and he just returns it). In fact, Mexico was quite dirty with their fouls towards the end. And agree about Wood, he missed a lot.

It's not an important tournament it's more a warm up for the World Cup, anyone that actually plays to hurt someone like New Zealand obviously doesn't understand the competition but then again New Zealand is only playing in this Confederation Cup because for some reason Australia is a part of Asia so New Zealand qualified from Oceania which is a big joke.

Well, Mexico committed 15 fouls? Football players are not made of glass, nothing wrong with pushing and tackling. There was no dirty tackles apart from that one from Boxall. And a Mexican player made a similar dangerous tackle towards the end. Of course Mexico is a better team, no doubt about that, but today NZ could have won if Woods was more clinical. Mexico should have lined up their best players, they underestimated NZ.

but how can you use the amount of fouls as proof when Mexico did 15 fouls themselves? They did not do anything outside the rules of football, I can't recall any hard tackles except the one on Herrera which did not even touch him.
