Iceland

No one has more pressure in the world to Win this years WC. Kid looks drained.

not the best game for Argentina but I am still confident that Messi will get his act together and lead this team far into the tournament.

Nothing can stop Aguero. He is an underrated goal scoring ace, who just cant stop scoring. He would have slotted the penalty any day. Absolutely immense finish for his goal, with some good touches to get around the defenders.

Argentina's only TRUE weakness - the self-absorbed Sampaoli! Instead of using only one player in the midfield who will be the link between the defense and midfield/attack, meaning, either Niglia (preferable) or Mascherano, he puts both of them, keeps Dybala on the bench, and forces Messi to constantly go back in order to get the ball!
A complete fail!

Why didn't Sampaoli choose Dybala in the 2nd half? Higuain is a good player, but he's incompetent against teams like Iceland which have the physical strength and height. Dybala could be a better choice because he has dribbling skills to confuse opponents' defense.

dont mind me im just here to downvote all comments referring to Ronaldo, as that is just unoriginal and childish and ruins any football discussin

iceland style of play is the original football style.

no icardi no party.

If Ronaldo had a same star studded team mates (pu55i, Dybala, Aguero, otamendi, rojo, Higuain, Maria, mesarano, Giovani Lo Celso, biglia) as Argentina, very easily will win World Cup. Portugal player can’t able to keep the ball on there legs for 10 seconds against Spain players.
Poor fellow Ronaldo dragging his team always on his own, only match they played with full heart as a man is on euro cup final when there main man Ronaldo is injured. Compared to the team of Pu55i and neymer, Ronaldo team is poor on quality, it’s a fact... Since he is a man for big game he is dragging as much as he could

ICELAND BEATS ARGENTINA 1-1!!!!!!!

Where is Dybala? Who the fuck are Pavon and Meza?

island a yawn team..

well he clearly doesn't want to play for his country in WC lol. they should have let him retire

I don't get the people on this site dude. You're living in a generation with 2 of the greatest players of all time, something we might not have again for a very long time, and you are going into every game, hoping that one of them fails just so you can say the other is better. You sit there and be like "Man, I hope he misses this PK so I can go and troll and say that Ronaldo is better" as if its all decided by one PK. I see so many cr7 fans with the "I want to prove messi is an awful player so I will wait till he plays a bad game and go out and exclaim how CR7 is better, instead of appreciating both" attitude, and its so annoying.

Messi is a better player for many, but everyone who thinks so says Ronaldo is close 2nd.
Many Messi fans have same attitude to cr7 though.
Both need to stop

BDS in my ASS !

MISSI

Predicted it!

They really need to bench messi and play as a team with better chem

Team Performance: Argentina=Good, Iceland= Average

Explanation:

Argentina had 7 shot on target (Top Class) but only scored 1 (downgrade to Good)
Iceland had 2 shots on target (Poor) but scored 1 (Upgrade to Average)

Man of the match: .A. Finnbogason 1 shot on Target and 1 goal, enough to get a point for Iceland

I cant believe how bad messiwas tdodya...
