Portugal U21

Cheer up....Sweden and Portugal now have their next Golden Generation after Tomas Brolin & co. and Luis Figo & co.

WHERES USA VS GUATEMALA POST ON HERE? USA WON 4-0 THEY HATE TO PUT UP GOOD U.S. MATCHES ON FOOTYROOM

years ago i watched a video with mourinho saying ''You dont need a better team to win and if the other team is better you have to accept it and try to your best'' Congrats to Sweeden, good try Portugal

Ibrahimovic is like I should of been in this team instead because I've always wanted to win a tournament with my national team I bet he's mad that he wasn't involved in this team he always wanted to to hold a trophy for his Swedish nation

Branimir Hrgota will make his mark on the global stage next season - mark my words.

but portugal has the best team, heh!

We are the champions of the 'almost'. no one's better than us at almost winning titles!

The game was great and both teams played well, Portugal was a bit better offensively and Sweden a bit better defensively. And Carlgren, what a hero!None of the teams have anything to whine about, the ref made no blunders and both teams had their chances, in the end, no team was "dominant", but Sweden won the Gold after fantastic penalty shots and a goalkeeper who stepped up when it mattered the most. I'm so happy i can't describe it, but my feels are also with Portugal, it might not mean much to those of you who rooted for Portugal, and it's easy for the winner to be modest, but you would have been rightful winners too!

Sweden was the most hard-working, collectively strong team in the entire competition. They sure deserved to win. And they were very close to scoring several times in the game, just a few less times than Portugal. Congratulations Sweden, and good game to Portugal.

Good job by Sweden! Well deserved win considering all their combacks and fighting spirit. I guess the englishmen can now brag about being the only team to beat the champions of europe U21. hehe

Congratz Sweden. What I've heard of Portugal, they've been by far the best team in the tournament.

yeah sure, defending with 9 players and winning in penalties...ridiculous.

Started to watch it coz i had nothing else to do........ended up biting my nails

SWEDEN!!!!!!!!!

Sweet attacking play from Portugal and great defensive resilience from Sweden. Congratulations to Sweden for winning their first ever youth championship!

Wenger must sign Carvalho ...a loser for a loser TEAM.

SWEDEN !!!M.

Sweden played tactically great, but Portugal can only blame themselves, could have easily scored 3 or more goals.. Congrats Sweden
