So many star's on PORTUGAL U21 team! 1/3 of Portugal team is from SPORTING LISBON (William Carvalho, Paulo Oliveira, Tobias Figueiredo, João Mário, Ricardo Esgaio, Iuri Medeiros e Carlos Mané) the best school of football in europe! GO PORTUGAL

Sporting would definitely have one of the three best schools in the world or perhaps even the most successful one but they let so much talent slip through their fingers and get wasted due to ordinary mistakes the youth makes. They need a tough love department teaching the young talented players how to responsibly live their life while growing as a professional footballer. Too many names are crossing my mind right now and the one that will haunt me for ever is Fabio Paim. Seeing him play at the age of 14 alongside C. Ronaldo was insane, Ronaldo was light years behind Paim such pure talent wasted.

Congrats Portugal on a performance out of this world. I will be mad for a long time that we sold Bernardo Silva for only €16 million.

As a German I gotta say that was a fantastic performance by Portugal. They have many talented players on their site and they were pretty effective in front of the goal. For our team it's more or less the best we could do (although not lose by 5 goals difference). This Under 21 team is average, most of Germans know that. Ter Stegen, Meyer (who is out of shape), Can (quite arrogant and self centered on the pitch), Kimmich (still a bit young for that) and Volland, thats it. The others are more or less middle class players in the Bundesliga and won't have any future in the national team. It's no comparing to the 2009 team with Neuer, Boateng, Hummels, Özil, etc. For me the generations which come after this one are much more interesting. And we qualified for Rio.

First of all congrats to Portugal from Germany - amazing footy! Our team was to arrogant - thinking they could beat everyone. They had a poor pre-match preparation. It is not an excuse, but keep in mind also Germany left players out such as Götze, Draxler, Mustafi, Rüdiger, Durm etc. Anyway it was well deserved, hope to see them win. :)

Well... no. Maybe a bit disappointing but in the end our team qualified for the Olympics. Since 1986 no German team played at the Olympics, so it is not like that.

Whoever thinks Portugal has the best under 21 team is deluded. England clearly have the best under 21 team with world class raw talents such as sterling, Kane, ward prowse, Luke shaw, chambers, Ross Barkley , John stones , oxlade chamberlain etc. we have the best under 22 team in history with world class young talents.

Are you trying to mock all these world class legends? England has had the best legends ever Rooney, Gerard, Lampard, scholes, Terry, seaman, Cole, tony Adams , Ray parlour, Glenn Johnson, and now future legends sterling, Kane, ward prowse. Sterling has a more expensive price tag at the raw age of 20 compared to zidane when he was in his prime xD

Portugal should be picking more players from this squad for their senior team, coz most of the senior team is aging and they aren't that good.
