Great exciting win from Switzerland; hard work pays off sometimes. Also love the ending quote "Well, that's football isn't it?."

Its the third game with Slovenia lost in the last minutes (Estonia, England and now with Switzerland)Are something very wrong with the psychologial of the team. Slovenia team was dropped out the directly qualify only by itself.

you can't even spell albanian*! Not a single player in the swiss starting eleven or bench was born in Albania. Switzerland is a country with 4 official languages, and a rich history in coming to the aid of those in need, especially in the broken up former yugoslavia. It just happens that the people they helped are proudly repaying switzerland but representing the national team. you would be a much happier person if you weren't ignorant and narrow minded.

they might not be born in Albania but must of Swiss players have foreign roots players like Shaqiri, kasami, xhaka, mehmedi, džemaili .... are Albanian even if they are not born in Albania. Few Swiss players that are not born in Switzerland: Macedonia (Mehmedi, Džemaili, Kasami) Kosovo/Seriba (Behrami, Shaqiri), Germany (Klose), Cameron (Embolo), Cape Verde (Fernandes)

so what?

BadAss 11 years ago

All who say that it was lucky to win for switzerland are some ignorant idiots. When you play 90 minutes attacking football then its not LUCKY to Win then is it DESERVED. Most of the time Slovenia parked the bus, so yea.

And there goes Slovenia's chances, ha.....

turbopiki 11 years ago

There was a foul for penalty, on Kampl just after 2nd Swiss goal. In the last 10min ref didnt blow the wistle for any foul on Slovenia guess he wanted a big comeback and he got it.

BadAss 11 years ago

i would describe that as a "get rEkT".
