I can't help but enjoy the situation the netherlands are.. I hope they won't qualify, they don't deserve it and turkey is a better team to watch during big competitions. They always play their hearts out.

Narsingh is to blame for not passing the ball. 1:05. Pass ---> Depay/ Van Persie...Open net ----> GOAL! He chose to be selfish and missed. Football is a team effort. Too many selfish players in the squad.

The dutch are the architects of their own demise. Totally understandable to want to move back to the tactics of 433 and possession football, but you can't do it immediately and especially when you don't have the players suitable to play such a style. The whole process has been shambles. from asking koeman to be hiddink's ASSISTANT, to outlining the future departure of Hiddink and then unbelievably outlining how Blind would take his place for 2018 stinks of either utter cluelessness or at worst, plain arrogance. Also. How is Cillessen picked ahead of Krul? He was at fault for not saving a tame pen vs iceland, and the second crucial goal tonight was also a keeping mistake.

Turkish striker (Yilmaz I think) was very lucky when he scored that third goal. He was selfish and should have made a pass to the guy on his right, who was clear and open. Fortunately for him (and the team) the ball somehow found its way to the net, but it easily could have been the other way around!

Bellarabi is not Turk and Sahin is already playing for Turkey but he is injured most of the time. Still wish Ozil, Gundogan and Emre Can were playing for us though. We would be a world class team.

To all those trolling Van Persie and depay they were the two best players in the team tonight. Depay was the one putting the best crosses and challenging for the second ball everytime it fell loose. And the whole second half we dominated but Turkey scored through a clear foul. Yes I admit that this Netherlands team can get owhere but ast least give some respect to those who are trying.

willem, did you even watch the WC?? netherlands accounted for some of the most memorable moments in brazil, to name some: incredible runs by robben; the flying dutch-man header; the humiliation of spain; krull substitution for penalities against costa rica, stops 2 penalties;brazil wouldnt have been the same without them!

Players quality is decreasing in Netherlands. RVP, Sneijder, Robben, Nigel De Jong are old but the next generation are too young (Memphis, Narsingh). They need a mastermind like LVG and a bit of luck to go to semifinal WC 2014, but after that no more...
