I can't help but enjoy the situation the netherlands are.. I hope they won't qualify, they don't deserve it and turkey is a better team to watch during big competitions. They always play their hearts out.

Narsingh is to blame for not passing the ball. 1:05. Pass ---> Depay/ Van Persie...Open net ----> GOAL! He chose to be selfish and missed. Football is a team effort. Too many selfish players in the squad.

The dutch are the architects of their own demise. Totally understandable to want to move back to the tactics of 433 and possession football, but you can't do it immediately and especially when you don't have the players suitable to play such a style. The whole process has been shambles. from asking koeman to be hiddink's ASSISTANT, to outlining the future departure of Hiddink and then unbelievably outlining how Blind would take his place for 2018 stinks of either utter cluelessness or at worst, plain arrogance. Also. How is Cillessen picked ahead of Krul? He was at fault for not saving a tame pen vs iceland, and the second crucial goal tonight was also a keeping mistake.

lol.. woow depay soo good!!! :o

Good in sitting on bench that is. Hehe

but... but he played?

Turkish striker (Yilmaz I think) was very lucky when he scored that third goal. He was selfish and should have made a pass to the guy on his right, who was clear and open. Fortunately for him (and the team) the ball somehow found its way to the net, but it easily could have been the other way around!

all good strikers are selfish. if they're not selfish, then they don't score as many as they do.

Imagine if Ozil,Bellarabi,Sahin,Gundogan all played for turkey

Oloman 11 years ago

Galatasaray 0 264

Bellarabi is not Turk and Sahin is already playing for Turkey but he is injured most of the time. Still wish Ozil, Gundogan and Emre Can were playing for us though. We would be a world class team.

richter 11 years ago

dont know why you mention can, he plays like an amateur (german national team). he looks insecure on the ball, as if he didnt know what to do with it. maybe hes stronger at liverpool?

NETHERLANDS 11 years ago

To all those trolling Van Persie and depay they were the two best players in the team tonight. Depay was the one putting the best crosses and challenging for the second ball everytime it fell loose. And the whole second half we dominated but Turkey scored through a clear foul. Yes I admit that this Netherlands team can get owhere but ast least give some respect to those who are trying.

Depay = overrated

Ahmed 11 years ago

Yes, because we're expecting from a 21 years old to be the next CR7, he has to dribble the whole team and scores FOUR goals so that Arsenal fans won't say ''overrated'' again. !

mgs 11 years ago

stupid, played good this match delivered four pin point crosses that should have been converted and was an overall threat. see the game before judging, band wagon hater.

Loli Amsbui Geyek 11 years ago

No! Depay now same level as Ronaldo and Messi..u cant see his potential

loolololololololol 11 years ago

özil= more overrated, plus he cost arsenal 40 000 000 £

shriketr 11 years ago

Great result for Turkish National Team, Turkish next generation players totally outclass Dutch fellows, Oguzhan #7 - real flying Turkishman even he was dutch till u21, ozan #16 - new breed of tireless midfielder, serdar #4 strong central defender, sener #2 strong full back, arda barca player made sneijder look ordinary, caner selcuk arda burak play together since u19s, expect more from bayer star hakan calhanoglu; recall euro 2008 Turks always love hard stuff, tradition goes on lost 4 points against Latvia, grabbed 4 points from Dutchman...

LVG wants him cause he speaks Dutch and LVG only brings in players he knows or speak Dutch. LVG can't explain anything in another language and even in speaking Dutch he's a terrible manager

Andreas 11 years ago

netherland still has the quality, i don't know why after they were good in 2010, they were sucked in Euro 2012,.. then good in world cup 2014, ...sucker in Euro 2016 qualification, .. the story continues...

They didn't play good in Brazil… Sure, they finished third, but the game they played wasn't enjoyable. It was just like they didn't want to be there, they did not enjoy playing football. Just like this game and the game against Iceland. It's like they don't enjoy it!

richter 11 years ago

willem, did you even watch the WC?? netherlands accounted for some of the most memorable moments in brazil, to name some: incredible runs by robben; the flying dutch-man header; the humiliation of spain; krull substitution for penalities against costa rica, stops 2 penalties;brazil wouldnt have been the same without them!

van persie and sneijder play in galatasaray, off course the turkish know too well to defuse them, netherland didnt deserve to win if they play like that, and one more no robben no party

ferk 11 years ago

ref is ref..blind is blind ... blind playing football..ref doesnt

Owob 11 years ago

Put Danny Blind as CM killed Oranje. He's good but not for that position. Congrats for Turkey, who played with passion and enthusiasm. Also for the noisy home crowd, well done!

loolololololololol 11 years ago

more like a turd without bloodwhen the turd is bloody, you're fuckedwhen netherlands are in euro, you're equally fucked

spin 11 years ago

Players quality is decreasing in Netherlands. RVP, Sneijder, Robben, Nigel De Jong are old but the next generation are too young (Memphis, Narsingh). They need a mastermind like LVG and a bit of luck to go to semifinal WC 2014, but after that no more...
