I really don't understand what the fuck the USA team does to get so much hate from you people. Why the fuck do you find everything they do and just hate on them non stop? What is the reason? We can't get anything no matter what happens. We reach the confederations cup final, win Group C, get good results, and still everyone hates on us for no reason. You know what you should do if you don't like the USA? Keep it to your own fucking self because we don't want to see it. Not one team in the entire fucking WORLD is hated on as much as the USA and I'm fucking sick of all you assholes. All of you can go fuck yourselves we're just football fans who love our team and we don't deserve this much shit, neither does the team themselves because they do nothing wrong except just play the game they love.

nobody hates you - you're not meaningful enough to be hated.. but I understand where you're coming from - you are not exactly everybody's cup of tea. If I had to guess, I would say it's a few things together: 1. For some reason you seem to think that you are part of the world football elite. You are not. Far from it. You are nothing but a mediocre team and have never really won anything or beaten an elite team when it mattered. 2. You have gotten some results that exacerbate this stream of thought, but you fail to realize that you have never done anything beyond what a mediocre team would do - except when you get VERY lucky (if you care enough, or disagree, look at this match's pie chart above and at my other comment from two days ago - I have some examples there) 3. You call your domestic league champions 'world champions' in sports like baseball or basketball - you are wrong in doing that. 4. You have an attitude like "we are awesome, and if you don't like it go !@#$% yourself" - you are NOT awesome, and even if you were, that's not a very football-like attitude. When have you ever heard a Brazilian talk like that about their futebol skills. 5. You think football is boring because scores are low, and you prefer watching baseball (!) - the world cup final ended 1-0 after 120 minutes and I could not stop watching for one second... and you prefer baseball!!... Baseball, where the best players ever where overweight couch potatoes (e.g., Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds) 6. Along the lines of points 4. and 5. - you just don't seem to get all the non-rule related psyche of the game. ESPN has statistics around things that only Americans would care about - tip: remove all the boxes from the screen and let us watch the game. I don't care about how many onces of sweat the goal keeper produced. 7. Something that really upsets me is that Concacaf (do you know what that is?) has 3.5 spots for the WC, and Conmebol has 4.5. It's just not fair. I hope this clarifies.

Has there ever been more consensus around a team being lucky? There are 51 comments now, and 52 votes for 'lucky' for the US!

@nonymoose - you just gave reason #8 - you think anyone who's not American wishes he or she were American. Why? Because you're awesome, right? and everyone who disagrees with you should just !@#$% his or herself, right?... and then you ask why you are not liked. You must be blind or just not smart.

I understand why you would think this, but maybe you should realize not all Americans are like this. for example: 1. I don't think we are part of it, but I really want us to get better and be there. 2. People are too fast to complain. We get the results, and like everywhere in the football world, you can complain all you want, but points are points. Why point out that we are lucky? What does that change? 3. It is wrong. 4. I do not have that attitude, and I hate those who do. Football fans who support our national team are not like that, and by stereotyping, you are giving us ALL a name we don't deserve. 5. I love football. I watch every game on TV, I have every channel in Spanish, Italian, English, German, you name it, that plays football games every weekend. I hate baseball. Football is my life. 6. I agree. Americans think stats are everything. I just want to watch the games. 7. There are two teams that should qualify from CONCACAF for anything: the US and Mexico. I couldn't care less about the 3rd team, and US/Mexico will always qualify. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I consider my self part of the football community. I frequently get in to debates/arguments with other Americans about the importance and beauty of the game of football. I live in the USA. I'm American, and proud to be one, just like anyone is proud to be from their country. The difference? I've been watching FC Barcelona since I was 8 years old. I speak a good amount of Spanish and I've played/watched this game since I was in 1st grade. When I see people bashing on Americans, it annoys me, mainly because not all of us are like this. You'll find that only the ignorant non-football supporters are like this. Most of the football supporters are like me: we love our team, and we love this sport, even if we call it a different name. I feel like a douche writing this essay to you, but I want to get this point across: don't stereotype. None of you, as football supporters, are any better than me.

Also, I watched every minute of just about every game this world cup, and loved every minute of it (#5) Just throwing that out there.

Thumbs up to both of your last comments, but you have to agree they are not in line with your first comment. In your first comment, you truly sound like a douche (#4) You asked many times why people hate you - I was just trying to answer from a non-US perspective. You may not be part of the majority, but you have to acknowledge that the majority (again, not all) pretty much fit the bill of all 7 points.

Yes, sorry about my original post, I was frustrated seeing all the hate towards the USA team. I agree, most are like that, which is why I always dislike being associated with them. Oh well, life goes on
