I wanted Atletico to win to keep the league interesting but both of Villa's dives were disgraceful. If that kinda thing is considered enough for penalties in La Liga then they should make it an official law that you are not allowed to touch any player in the box.

These were fair penalties and I have always been a through and through Real Madrid fan. I am just upset that Costa switched his allegiance to Spain rather than Brasil!! very sad no one in their right soul turns down Brasil! I don't hope bad on others but I do wish he one day his he realizes his wrong doing!! I always wish for all Brasilians to do well and wish him all the best at Athletico and disaster at Spain!

They look like pretty easy decisions for the ref actually. I don't like teams winning on penalties only but you cannot hack down people in the box like that and expect to get away with it. Would these be whistled anywhere else on the pitch? For sure in my opinion so in the box, those are penalties. As much as I'd like Atletico to drop points to give my team a breather, I can't fault the ref for giving those penalties.

Are you all blind!!!?? They are two very clear (and stupid) penalties!!! Especially the second!! NO DOUBT!! In Spain all the media are saying that the penalties were well given (I live in Spain).Atletico did not play their best game tonight, but they still deserved the win! Go on Atletico!

Before the first penalty Villa was offside on that pass. Second one was a foul but that was big dive from Villa.
