Very happy with the clean sweep over the 2 legs but I really hate the fact that Neymar and Messi and Puyol and some other first teamers were unnecessarily put into the first team despite the big lead, im pretty sure our secondary guys can handle themselves when they're 4-0 up. And now weve lost Neymar for 4 weeks over a meaningless tie.

I as just thinking... Didnt MEssi do a goal like this against Getafe once or twice? I have a feeling Messi does this against Getafe many times :D

@MrFooty. Wow! your excuse is so lame. Messi is bad because he did not save Barca against Bayern? do you have any excuse other than that? Why don't you also include him not scoring against Chelsea, he is not without Xavi and Iniesta. LMAO. Let me tell you...how many times did Messi saved Barca from important games? how many times did he saved Barca against Madrid? MANY TIMES!! and How many times did Ronaldo saved RM against Barca? I CAN ONLY COUNT!! ones twice thrice only. LOL.

BTW well see what Ronaldo can do against Germany in the WC. ohhh I forgot he is sooooooooooo great, he's the best that he don't even need the help of his team mate, he can win it alone! unlike Messi who needs Xavi and Iniesta (oopps I forgot Xavi & Iniesta were'nt there to help him against Getafe, oooh Sergio Roberto was there, also Tello was there to help him LOL)

@MrFooty. Ronaldo is better than Messi just because of one single game against Sweden??? what a joke!!! LMAO. If that's the case then you might as well forgot Messi scoring 5 goals in a single game against Bayer & 4 goals in a single game against Arsenal. How is that so??? Here's the link to remind you... http ://youtu. be/5EW4nsuj1X4 ................ http: //youtu. be/LJOI4PtPWGc

And no it wasn't based on one game. That was 2 games against Sweden and only the icing on the cake. What about against N.Ireland? And how many times he rescue Ma? And who can forget what he did to Barca last season. Seriously do we need to post links and discuss his credentials. Let's discuss Messi's credentials against Bayern. To say losing 3-1 or 4-1 but not even scoring a single goal in such an important game over 180mins. How can you explain that? I don't buy the injury excuses sorry.

an example.....weigh up Messi's performance and his goals in this match against CR7 and his performance against Sweden. Get my point? That's all I was trying to point out. Both amazing players but when comparing them with stupid comments like, Messi is the King, CR7 won't win Ballaon D'or 2014, etc. is ridiculous and pre-mature. Anyways, I enjoy watching both of them. That's all I can say. Thank you

Whatevs. Talk a lot of bullshit for shit, CR7 won ballon d'or that's matter, this is Barca room, you expect to see "Ronaldo is better", or "Ronaldo is the king" fuckoff. You may just being rage or somethin with Barca, well, almost all the opponent are frustated, let's just see this amazing team compete in this tournament, and see what yours.

Yes, the stats will point you in one direction sometimes but each player is more effective against certain teams, or certain opposition or certain moments, etc. Am I making sense?

MrFooty 13 years ago
The point i was simply trying to make without upsetting any of the fan boys is that both Messi and Ronaldo are completely different players and cannot be compared in terms of who is better. If you break it down, then yes, it probably can be done. In terms of dribbling alone Messi stands alone in the world right now and nobody can touch him, I accdept that. He does it more naturally than any other player I know but if you come up against tough defenders then you must resort to other weapons. Yes, again, Messi has them, but no way are they more effective than CR7? What i'm trying to say is , while Messi is better than CR7 in dribbling doesn't make him a better player overall, in effectiveness.

Attention everyone, I would just like to apologise to the whole football community regarding my comments about Messi. Much was misunderstood or taken the wrong way. Obviously, im not stupid, nor blind, nor a troll, nor a dumbass. I have followed football my whole life which spans over 40 years, older than most of you on here. Yes, I appear to be immature but sometimes i like to add spice and the smart ones out there realize that. I'd just like to say that both Messi and Ronaldo are amazing players. I am both critical and observant relating to past and present and the degree of challenge, circumstances (boy i need to take a breath here) getting emotional...kidding....

You claim that you watched football 40 years but cannot see the difference. The biggest difference is reading the match, the way Messi reaction, find better spaces and pass deathly. Meanwhile, Ronaldo run run, pass back and pass on the side and run and shot shot, I cannot ignore what he's also at best at heading when having corner kick :))

Feel free to read full report about CR7 here: bleacherreport(dot)com/articles/1875328-why-cristiano-ronaldos-ballon-dor-sends-the-wrong-message

MrFooty 13 years ago
And CR7 doesn't read the game? How do you think he scores so many goals? Look at the team Messi and Ribery play in and compare to Madrid. Same for Portugal. Now go look up dribble stats comparison and conversion percentage for last year. You'll be as surprised as me. Now you ask me to read a stupid biased report, obviously a Messi or Ribery lover and you expect me to take it seriously .

MrFooty 13 years ago
You wAnt to talk about the biggest stage. That game against Sweden was do or die. If CR7 had failed he would have lost his place in the kingdom of the greatest players. He would have been ridiculed. Nothing is bigger than what he did for both portugal and Madrid both teams underachieving. Please and saying he didn't deserve Ballon d'or. What about the year he won la liga and beat Barca head to head? What about that year?

MrFooty 13 years ago
Btw you do know where the votes come from right? Managers and captains, I think they are qualified to know what they are talking about . Journalist sadly to say are just like you and me. They have eyes and their favourite team, player etc in their heart. I don't pay too much attention.

@MrFooty: please point out any biased points in the link :) Is there any false statement in there? I'm happy to debate it with you in friendly manner. About the vote, How many % difference betweeen CR7 and Messi while Messi got injured 2 months ???

are you stupid or something. it was just the first time that ronaldo beat messi, and it not over yet. they are both still competitors. i'm sure that messi can win ballon d'or again, but there is a possible that ronaldo can beat him again. face it you dumb! maybe ronaldo is lucky maybe not, because in 2013 he did amazing than others. you can't rate a player went he is not playing. what a big deal if messi is injured because he still can play now.

Apparently because of this goal now everyone is complaining about ballon d'or 2013....hahaha....how ridiculous...

Sure, it is unfair to bring Ronaldo to Messi's level. Leave Messi on another level and compare ronaldo with the rest. As for me, Ibra is better than Ronaldo.
