You are absolutely correct. If we were to add more spots, only Europe, Africa, and South America should be considered. I mean, really, I can't even fathom that nations such as Portugal or Sweden may not go the World Cup while others like Mexico may get to go undeservedly...

I saw this coming.. this is Uruguay we're talking about, one of the best teams on Earth, with some of the best players on Earth, who play on clubs such as PSG, Liverpool and many other top European and South American teams. Coming to visit a team that has never made the world cup , has more then half the team play domestically. I only fear the further obliteration we will suffer in Montevideo, but even if we get beat even worse, im proud of Jordan for making it farther then we ever have before.

That comment about Mexico is rubbish, they deserve to go to the WC. If an Asian team is to play off and beat the 5th place team of europe or south america I say embrace it. I do think using Jordan as an example is attrocious. The idea is to create a broader range of competition but I agree that having teams like sweeden or portugal missing won't be right. They should have another playoff for the final spot. All is fair.
