Greece

Costa Rica played great and yes we almost broke down after the red card but still prevailed and personally had the ref not been clearly blind that there was a penalty from a Greek hand-ball and had we not been down to 10 players we could of had it 2-0 in 90 mins guaranteed ;)

Two of the most underdogs teams playing like BOSS !!#RespectThis is football :)

Well... Lets see what FIFA has got for us next

Greece lucky? For the last 60 min greece was controlling the game. Sure there was a red card but it was deserved. If anything costa rica was lucky the game went to penalties. If greece had ANYYY finishing or midfield creativity they would have easily won this game. Great game by Navas though, props to him

Greece wasted a golden chance to qualify.

Costa Rica play amazing on this wc

Costa rica played well defensively to hang on to shootout to give them a chance to win. A lot of people say poor Costa rica it was 11-10 men, well who's fault was that? Today the goal keeper won the game in the end. One thing I don't understand is that all the pussies come out slashing Greece only when they don't win, don't seem to have the balls any other way or don't seem to have a voice any other way.. lol..

Much better penalty taking than the Brazil-Chile shootout for sure. High, with pace, and in the corners for most of them. Kudos to Costa Rica for hanging in there despite playing with 10 for almost 90 min! Greece played better than in the group stage, and they almost managed another stoppage time escape but not quite this time. Either team will not be an easy task for the Oranje and good to see one Concacaf team represented. We'll see today if CAF can join the quarter final party too (Algeria especially lol).

Its such a shame that a crap team such as Greece get through because they had an easier group whereas England had to go home because we were in group of death. England is so underrated.

The better team went through.

So glad Greece was out! they're literally like the worst team. Full of cheaters. only got two goals to make it through group stage. well they're out! I want to see those cocky greek's fans say now

greece poor attacker

greece played much more interesting football than i have ever seen them play... represented well this time and can hold their heads high..

Greece are sh!t. Glad they're out.

take notes from Costa Rica.. that's how you take penalties

GREECE IS THE WORST TEAM ON THIS WORLD CUP!

Well deserved ticos Viva CentroAmerica!!!!!!

Lightning reflexes by the greek goalkeeper with the first goal, I think the grass grew half an inch between the ball leaving the costa ricans foot and hitting the back of the net.

The game could have been turn wrong to Costa Rica when the referee didnt see the clear penalty (greek hand ball) and when one of their players was red carded (right decision of the ref) - fortunately, in the end Costa Rica prevailed and beated a mediocre Greece that started to have the control of the game when they were playing 11 against 10.

dang look at those yellow cards... gotta be careful costa rica... but good win
