Does anyone else feel sorry for Karagounis. The way he was almost in tears after receiving that yellow card but great to see so much passion from the Greece skipper. i guess this means arshavin will be letting this defeat affect his club performances like the 2010 wc qualifiers for Arsenal

Greece deserved to win, they should of had a clear penalty and instead our captain and goalscorer gets booked which means he will mis the next match which is a disgrace !!!!

There was a contact, but no way it was a penalty. Defender just stand there and Karagounis hit his leg, then he made another step, and then he decided to fall.

Greece was excellent to manage the whole match with experience ,concentration and heart . Everybody speaks aout the fantastic Russian players ,but did they noticed the two young players in defence , who have already playing in Bundesliga ( Sokratis Papastathopoulos - with experience in Italy and Kiriakos Papadopoulos followed by Manchester United )? Did you notice that the refferee denied to give a clear penalnty to Karagounis ? Did you noticed that Tzavellas had hit a pale? Why the big Russian macchine does not win against Poland ? Greece of course its not Barcellona either the team that offers emotions to neutral friends of football , but this is football , this is the tournament. Remember that the old Italy was succeding with defence , Congratulations to Greece , and good luck to russian players for the next tournament .

weak group? who are you kidding! you obviously don't know anything about football, the russians were one of the favourites and some people were saying they would be a big threat and greece beat them! all this rubbish about greece being lucky is just stupidity and ignorance! greece should've had a penalty against russia, scored a goal against czech which was called offside when it wasn't, then also against poland another goal scored called offside when it wasn't. SO in actual fact greece should have 2 wins and 1 draw which would give them 7 points and top spot in the group, fk the haters greece will prove you all to look stupid.
