I have recently recovered from my knee "injury", and wanted to here if you guys had any injuries, what you did to heal, and how they affected you. For me, I overworked my knees during the summer of 2009. I spent the last 4 years playing soccer restrictedly. I could be a better player now, and I know it. Thats why I want to work even harder. Anyway I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips and share your injury knowledge.

shoulder dislocation... BOTH shoulders. it took a while to heal as the bone takes time to be fixed in its position and also the skin in that part is stretched.
the best way the injury affected me is that i started exercising my body upper part especially the shoulders and became a tougher player on the field .

I stopped Football due to several injuries, and to keep my part time job and studies going well...
I play Footsal now,and i sugest you to play Footsal before recovering at 100 pr cent, its also fun, no need to have great physical condition and what i prefer its very skillful : Tiki-taka playing style :)
you can get injured in Footsal but its not as frequent as in Football, the engagement is lower in Footsal.

I tore the internal ligament in my knee. Now, I cannot play football anything like I used to be able to. I lost 25% of my speed, my knee buckles right before I take a FK, and my balance on my bad knee is terrible. It basically will stay for life, and has hindered me from playing the sport I love so much with my full ability. :(

But it does teach me that not everything will go your way in life, and that sometimes, we should try to do the best we can with what we have. I am happy that I still have legs to stand on and play football with. :)

I once got a papercut while reading a book during my football break. It was pure hell.

Tore the quadriceps femoris muscle 3 months back. I'm still out for several months according to the doctor. Maybe one of these football clubs can offer me some professional medical attention to have me trucking away in no time.
