Gianfranco Zola.
Any reasons why? ^^
bump
First of all, Chelsea legend (and captain) that led us to 2 FA Cups, 1 Community Shield, 1 UEFA Supercup (vs Real Madrid) and the quarters of the CL against Barcelona (we were close to winning too.) And btw, this was all before we became a rich club; around the mid/late 90s. He was also considered one of the best Premier League players during the 90s. I only started supporting Chelsea because of this little magician.
If you have some time to spare right now or later, I highly recommend you see these videos:
Gianfranco Zola but when i start watching chelsea games he wasn't here and Ballack was the reason i start watching club football otherwise i just watched international mega events
^Ballack, Lampard and Makelele bossing the midfield... Oh those were some fun times. And to think we got Ballack as a bosman (signed without paying a club). What a bargain.

Zidane.
He's just Zidane.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær because of his goal scoring abilities, one of the best forwards in my opinion
and one of the reasons I started supporting United, and got me number 20 when started playing football, all because of Solskjaer :) also Ryan Giggs, because of his loyalty, skills and abilities on the pitch and example to all youngsters!
Titi :)
Zinedine Zidane. Because, quite simply, very few players have ever made the game look so BEAUTIFUL and ELEGANT.
"King" Eric Cantona. Besides SAF, I don't think there was anyone else as influential in reviving United as a dominant force in Europe once again.
Cantona's all time favorite moment in football:
Cantona's all 82 Goals for United:
Cesc Fabregas, because when I started properly following Arsenal he was my favorite player.
denis bergkamp-the technical genious
My idol when growing up was Wes Brown (I based my game on him) But my favourite footballer (in my lifetime) is either paul Scholes or Zidane.
Roberto Carlos.
Because there is no one, I repeat NO ONE, better than Roberto Carlos as left full back in football history. I repeat, IN FOOTBALL HISTORY.
@Gahruga, I think Maldini in his earlier playing days would give him a run for his money.
@Gahruga
Maldini was better than Carlos. Roberto Carlos was an attacking-minded fullback who really didn't learn to defend until he was almost in his 30's. Paolo Maldini was a solid defender and a brilliant attacker as well, and I find him to be better than Roberto Carlos.
Paolo Maldini! i love the way he defends he was the and i mean THE GREATEST defender i have ever seen he was the heart of milan and was the most loyal and respectful player i have ever seen who has set foot on a pitch!
^Oliver Kahn! Good choice!
didier forever !Because he is simply great !
Anything about your all time favourite footballer, idol or whatever just name the guy and maybe why you like him etc :)
Personally i don't have just one favourite so ill just say both Morten Gamst Pedersen and David Beckham simply because of their personalities which both has a kinda "superstar" aura around them which i like and they both are wingers who focus mainly on things like crossing and beating players simply not with the flashy shit that players like Ronaldo, Nani do and they remind me of oldschool wingers that got some fight in them not the midgets of today.
