If France get knocked out I want to see Argentina vs Portugal in the final. No hold bar, winner takes all.

Anyone see that Qatar game? Goddamn, for being a rich country they sure can't seem to buy their way into the knockout stage or find a good 11 with a fucking brain. 2 red card lol

Yeah that Qatar match was brutal. Going down players so quick surely does not help your team. haha

We are now seeing some defensive "strategies" with teams stacking the backline with like 7. haha I get that trying for a tie gets ya a point, and that a lot of third place teams will make it through, but come on..... smh

Guys, how do the highlights work on the site? Is everyone happy with them? Can you watch everything without leaving the website?

I only use the site for the forum discussions. I have not played with the highlights.

Knock out stage now, so should see teams really put their foot forward. Canada took their first match but they are in for a world of hurt in the quarters.

Brazil vs Japan should be a good match
Germany vs Paraguay can be a good one if Paraguay shows up.
Holland vs Morocco will be nasty.

Huge shake up in global footy. Both Germany and Holland are out at the round of 32. Brazil also was pushed to a late winner.

Morocco and Japan are no joke. Then Paraguay, which lost to the US 4-1 in the opening cup match turns around, makes the knockout as a third place team, then bumps Germany. This will either make things easier for Spain, France, England, and Argentina, or we will see more upsets with nations bringing up global levels.

The rest of the "big" teams better keep their head on a swivel. haha

You mentioned Paraguay and I came here just to whine…

They played the ugliest football ever. In fact I don’t even think their intention was to play football. Wrestling? Rugby? Boxing? Theatrics?

I don’t know what they were doing but it was ugly as h*ll.

Brazil joins Holland and Germany. Such a frustrating match as a Brazil fan and can we please for the love of the game stop with that fucking stutter step PK's....... THEN mark the most dangerous striker on the planet, PLEASE!!!!

ugh. hahaha Norway played well and took advantage of what they had.

The Mexico England match was fire. England put in some work and with great finishing on their chances, they moved on. Azteca is a place where teams DO NOT win. That is only the 3rd win in 88 matches at Azteca. Mexico played their butts off and while they got dirty and pulled antics, this Mexico team played some of the best ball I have seen them play in the tournament in a long time.

Portugal vs Spain today... Huge match
USA vs Belgium....
My statement on the Balogun Red Card situation...... While I dont agree it was a red card in the first place, I am not a fan of FIFA reversing it after the fact. It sets a bad precedent and makes things look very favorable for the host nation. That said, we saw a number of examples where that similar foul was unpunished (Messi for example), so I can understand why FIFA might have tried to meet some middle ground, but boy does it look fishy and convenient for the USA.

Not sure who the team in blue were but that was not who played the first few games of this tournament. Belgium made that look easy, and they didnt even use a few of their normal starters. haha

So many grade school mistakes, again, I dont know who that was.

Grats to Spain and Belgium, still loving this cup!

Trump shoulve never got involved with that red card. Disgrace!

The world thinks he did it, which hey, the guy is crazy, so maybe he did try and force it. From what I have read, and I try to read more than one source to stay as open minded as I can, all Trump did was contact FIFA to ask about why the player was red carded, and asked to look into it.

He shouldnt have gotten involved at all, I agree, but this man is not the most mature person on the planet. haha He thinks this cup is a celebration about him, and he has to inject himself in anything that might show him off.

In a twist, Belgium played motivated and sure showed that we are NOT on their level still. Granted those three huge errors helped a lot, but we were not there this game. Justice perhaps, for the overturn of the card?

I find it funny that people are shocked by the overturned red card. It's like those fucking tourist complaining just suddenly started watching sport. It have always to an extent been corrupted whether it be by money or other things and FIFA is no exception. We don't live in a fucking fairy tale. A little underhand tactics here and there. It's what us football fan have to deal with. Don't like it, don't watch it. Simple as that. Fortunately for me don't care who wins this match.

However what was that US goalkeeper doing on that 3rd goal. It looks like he was trying to boot the ball out and fumbled over his feet. lol insert Benny Hill theme

And to top it all off you let Lukaku score on you in your own barn lol. The dude is fucking crap

Argentina got away with that one. Messi having a crap match and still manages to score and assist to help the turn around. The subs were spot on. Props to Egypt as they had a great 80 mins.

@InPepWeTrust Dude, straight cartoon on the keeper blunder, no idea what he was doing.... Might as well add the other two mistakes to let goals in as if you werent allowed to defend or mark someone.

Quarterfinals:
Fra vs Mor : Fra will have too much for Morocco even though I would love to see Mor win this one. It will not be an easy match and is the highest profile match of the round, in my opinion.

Spa vs Bel : Spain should win this one, even with the death by 5000 passes. They wont be as careless as the US to give us such easy goals and the ball will be hard to come by.

Nor vs Eng : Eng did a great job against a fiesty Mexico which in a way helped them prep for Norway. Norway is bigger and will be a challenge in the air, but England have enough firepower to counter anything Norway throws at them. I do expect Haaland to get another goal.

Arg vs Swi : If the Argentina team that played the last 20mins of the match shows up, this game wont be close. If its the team that played the first 80mins, this match could go either way. I am surprised Swi is here as I expected Colombia, but tis why we play the games.

Yeah… long story short: Spain was better than France from start to finish.

What have surprised me the most with Spain is their defense. Seriously, we know their offense is good. But I didn’t expect their defense to be THIS good. Only one goal conceded the entire tournament so far.

Yeah, France just completely stopped playing their usual game in this one. Spain basically shut down everything that had worked for them in the previous matches. Shame, really. I just don’t enjoy watching Spain, and having them in the final doesn’t make it any better. Now we just need Argentina to get there too for the perfect final… Come on England, don’t let us down.
