Rayo are so good, in fact, that they've been beaten by the mighty Granada, and that ol' power house Sevilla.

Interestingly, Rayo have taken 12 points from their last 6 games (again, losing to Granada, and Sevilla), which is the same number of points that Spurs have taken from theirs.

Clearly, accordingly to knibis' logic, this means that Spurs could beat any team in La Liga, on recent form!!

This is why arguing with knibis is pointless. He still thinks that Real Madrid's 5 European Cups in the 50s are a sign of how the team are now.

You know very well that the criteria of how a team is doing  during a season is not the fact that they have lost against a weak team.
This year they are doing well so far.with a very limited buudget they are avoiding the relegation and keep trying to gain a place that leads them to European competitions.
Also Granada beat Real Madrid last week not only Vallecano :P

Lodatz to be fair Rayo is playing well above expectations. They were excellent against Atletcio. They are currently in 6th place tied with Valencia. I think Rayo could do pretty well against teams like Wigan, Stoke, West Ham, West Brom, Liverpool or any other Mid table team. Keep in mind their budget must be half of Wigan's budget. By no means are they a world class team, they lose and tie like any average team. 

@raimondo: I believe you. In fact, I'd love to see West Brom or Swansea take them on.

Honest to goodness, Swansea would beat Rayo any day. Laudrup's too good of a manager to drop points against a team like Rayo.
