AlexBatak 11 years ago Edited
Chelsea, Italy 204 2707

Who will win the league this season and who will relegate…. a place for predictions and discussion.

Every club has played 21 matches and 17 matches left in the Premier League season with only 6 points between the 10th and 20th place. and as you can see the top 7 are very close to each others in terms of points.

Who got the advantage to win the title in your opinion and who will most likely relegate?

What is your match prediction for the (Top Remaining Matches)? (W/L/D)

Relegation is tighter than champions for fucks sake.
West ham, Sunderland and Crystal Palace will go down.
I see Manchester City winning it this year.

i agree with @vendetta, but also iam gonna add man.united to finish fourth.( this will be the first time we finish fourth since 1985)

i think with the right signings done now and all the injured players to return, we can do it.

Relegation is a hard one to call, but I'll stick to the team that I predicted at the beginning of the season to win the EPL: Manchester City.

City is winning it, no doubt. Second Chelsea, third Arsenal unless something amazing happens this is probably how it is going to end. And I think and hope that C. Palace, Cardif and Norwich will get relegated. Sunderland Is going to come back on track because they have a very decent team and Manager to do so. Swansea and West Brom. have nothing to worry about they both fight with big team very well and can handle the pressure well. West Ham would miraculously stay there and wont be relegated because of a few points or even goal difference.

As for United (not that anybody asked) I think they'll take Tottenham's place and hope for a good run in the Europa League. so 4th Everton 5th Liverpool and 6th United.

I don't think we will finish 4th this year. If we make it to the Europa league, then we might be lucky. My gut tells me that we will to finish either 6th or 7th.

As i said before the league started, Pellegrini team will need time to adapt to his new tactics but will win the title.

1- Man City
2- Arsenal
3- Chelsea
4- Liverpool

@Alex Nice to see you posting the remaining fixtures. And i understand that you deleted some comments before finishing the post. If i had the power to do that i would try to make long posts because they are used here to reply before the end of the post.

Arsenal could have killed the title race if they had won United game and draw against City. the ranking would be.

1- Arsenal 52pts
2- Chelsea 46pts
3-City 45pts

They would have had a good margin of error to direct rival loss or injuries threat, but since the top 3 are very close to each others, i can just take the most complete team of the 3 who took also the adventage against the direct rivals...
Chelsea will drop some points for lacking a world class striker imo, and Arsenal will be lucky if no player gets injured.

@Tiki_Taka You don't have to worry much about long posts just try to edit it first on Textpad or Pages on Mac or Words on Pc before you post it, because editing will be less complicated if any. usually I try to fix the posts and make it look better here. Like Awis's post about Matic and many others. just be patient till I see the post :) yes I remember your post, but I was in a vacation with my fiancée so I couldn't do it right away, and when I came back at night I noticed that you erased everything so I had nothing to do other than removing the post. Also you don't have to worry if someone comment something negative while you are editing it, just finish it next time and then those kind of comments will be removed.

This is my opinion .

  1. Chelsea - Reason why is because of Jose Mourinho . If we did not have him I would not even comment on this thread. Yes Chelsea does not have quality striker but Chelsea still challenging and with recent defensive mid signing team will gain balance and stability in midfield and defense . Chelsea will be harder to break . Considering also that most of the big games will be played at Stamford Bridge , I think Chelsea has upper hand . And Again Jose knows how to win titles in the spring .

  2. Manchester City - City has amazing squad and It does scares me how good they are at home ground, but Liverpool showed that they can be hurt at home . One main thing that makes me put them second is because of their away record and they will be playing big matches in spring away . Pelegrini is new to this league and I think he will be under a lot of pressure as he already is and in very late Spring I see City loose title .

  3. Arsenal - Even though Ozil has came they still lack that killer striker . If Arsenal had made a serious bid for Suarez and got him , I would surrender the league to them . One world class striker would have made Arsenal not only domestic favorites , but also European CL favorites . Also even though Arsenal has depth in the squad , there are some key players who are injury prone and substitutes for those players lack maturity and winning mentality . Arsene Wenger is making a mistake by not buying a world class striker and Suarez + Ozil would have brought more than one silverware .

  4. Liverpool - I think you are up for a shocker but Liverpool will be back in CL . After Stoke City match , I saw how this team can cope with pressure and their fast aggressive counter attacking football is just too much for most teams in EPL.

Relegation teams : Cardiff City , Crystal Palace and West Ham United .
