"What will the score be when Barca takes on Rayo Vallecano next (11th in the league)? 5-0? 6-0? More?"

My estimation in another thread^

6-1 was the result..

1.05 in odds pre-game..

Is a game like this fun to watch even though it's pretty much one-sided? Does the excellence of Barca weigh up for the fact that the other team is totally chance-less? Is there any excitement involved at all?

To answer the original question, yes matches like these are fun to watch. I unfortunately missed out on its since it was at 8am where i live. Its always great to see Messi play and i gotta say that Messi and Suarez are linking up so well now and they play the kind of football i like. If there is more goals its a good thing, since when do people prefer to win 1-0 over 6-1? And lately La Liga has been less predictable. If you follow it, youd see Real Barca and Atletico have dropped points recently. And those matches were pretty tense, such as Real-Bilbao (that Bale shot to the post had me).

But seriously, these Liga vs BPL threads and posts need to stop. People have different opinions and no one will convince the other otherwise. So end it all and enjoy the sport in which ever league you like.

Bringing money for an easy massive win is not reasonable... in that theory, MC shohuld have had won every team in EPL with low budget by large margin... Now: in the the same league.
Yeah let's stick to the point: it was quite enjoyable to watch especially the duet partnership from Suarez and Messi... Im so glad to see Suarez's back on form after all the craps people have been giving him

Games like this are exhibition matches, not a competitive contest. It's been this way for years, in fact, while Barcelona and Madrid were breaking all-time La Liga goalscoring records and racking up all-time La Liga points records, while the rest of the league decided that the Europa League was important.

Barcelona can coast through these games with such ease, and therefore save their best for the big nights in Europe. They have only a couple of truly tough matches in their own league, each year.

The same is not true of Chelsea, nor Manchester City.

Chelsea have one fewer point than Barcelona, but have played 2 more games. Valencia have the same points as Arsenal, but with 2 less games.

Still. More. Competitive.

Last season, with Atletico breaking the duopoly was an anomaly. Last season, with the twists and turns until the final week, was business as usual in the PL.

Not all Liga fans are fan-boys, but the fan-boys themselves have been wrong for years. They really should just learn to shut up.

@Lodaz: everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion... But I agree, in La Liga, Barca and Real dominated. But let's give the credit when it dues.

They, at the same time, dominate the whole world of football too. Who else can beat them fair and square? Bayern was the only one. And who are they? the one who have dominated Bundesliga.

My team, Manchester United lost to Barca in 2 CL's FINALs, and in the most dreadful way... they were toying us. Back to that time, MU was also always in top 3 or 2.

My point is: the fact that Barca or Real or Bayern, they are just too strong, and EPL's top teams are not that strong... meaning more competive for the weaker teams.

"They, at the same time, dominate the whole world of football too"

Actually, no, they don't. And they haven't, either.

Last year was Madrid's first CL final in 12 years. Barcelona have gone 3 seasons now without seeing one. And Atletico have had one great season, just like Dortmund had the season before.

They don't 'dominate the whole world of football'. They just are the two most famous (and the two richest) clubs. That's all.

It's this assumption that just because they dominate their own league they therefore must dominate everyone else that is at the root of the sheer arrogance and ignorance which drives these eternal debates.

"My team, Manchester United lost to Barca in 2 CL's FINALs, and in the most dreadful way... they were toying us. Back to that time, MU was also always in top 3 or 2."

Then you have a poor memory, because the 2011 final was one of the best of all time, and that Barcelona team was one of the best of all time. And here's the point: THAT WAS THE LAST TIME THAT BARCELONA DOMINATED. It also does not mean that the whole of La Liga, busy getting spanked into record numbers by that same Barcelona were as good as the PL just because of the success of Guardiola's team.

La Liga would be nothing without Barcelona and Madrid. They would be competing for the EL every year instead. By contrast, the rises and falls of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, United and City have all taken place, in that same period of El Classico dominance over the Spanish League.

Now go back and read my 2nd paragraph again.

"My point is: the fact that Barca or Real or Bayern, they are just too strong:"

I don't agree, and I also think that a number of people are judging the Chelsea vs PSG result far too early. ;) I also think that people should be careful to be too certain that City's season is over in Europe just yet, either.

Madrid have not yet met another heavyweight.

Last year, without Courtois, Costa and Cesc, Chelsea was weaker... This year the gap would have been even bigger...

A league of Average level teams with close level can be exciting but not strong or competitive, Ligue 1 is a clear example...

Actual Atletico is strong enough to compete for PL, and imo even Valencia. I know Lodatz, truth hurts your feelings...

No need to paint it in your beloved colours, actually its impossible :) get over it or disappear as you know best.

As always, the difference between tiki and myself is that I provide facts and figures, and he just tries (and fails) to get under my skin.

This is because he is the type of La Liga fanboy I am talking about, tuan_jinn, and why these debates just won't go away. There is no 'credit' to give, here. He's just an troll.

"get over it or disappear as you know best."

It's called getting married and having a job, moron. The amount of time you waste on here saying stupid things is not something which is going to count in your favour if you're trying to act like you're the adult. As if I don't utterly stomp your argument into dust every time I see you, and leave you running away from the thread.

It's funny how the problem is still here. Maybe YOU should try disappearing, and see if it solves the problem, hmmm?

tiki you just don't get it do you? Don't matter what people tell you? It goes in and straight out of your head..

tiki, you've already said that Barca, real, Athletico, Valencia, Villareal and Sevilla could compete for the PL title..! Hm.

In all honesty you're so biased and your lacking of knowledge on this matter is so obvious. As the others discussing have some good arguments yours are just empty words..

So those 1.05 odds games that you find in La liga aren't very interesting and you won't fins games like that in the EPL as it's way more competitive and the average team is way better. than in la liga.

"My point of view irritates your supremacist ideas,"

What does that even mean? And how come you're not talking about the football anymore? Is it because I utterly stomped your argument into dust, as per usual?

"Stubborn, no i change opinions, but i dont get forced to. NO WAY..."

What you mean is: you will never concede facts which should force you to change your opinion.

Now that's a random thing to say. Because we're discussing Chelsea tactics all of a sudden? The usual crap coming from you..

And how can you tell me to move on in my own thread? and after putting your ignorant views in it? You better move on instead!
