Walcott out for 6 months

Walcott is out with knee injury for 6 months.... oh god why =/ How unlucky can Arsenal get with injuries.. we need a striker NOW. Just when Walcott was in flying form he gets injured for 6 freaking months. What the hell is this luck! our ONLY fit striker right now is Podoslki, and that's not even his prime position.
Here is the link for the injury: http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2014/01/06/4525599/walcott-out-for-six-months-with-knee-injury?ICID=HP_BN_3

I don't consider Soldado to be a flop, so, to me it's worth it. ;)

Adebayor was the bigger joke, but, I guess we're playing him again. Wonder how long that will last....

You call karma when Spurs were throwing coins on Theo and then he did this? What would you do?

lol Lodatz, I knew you were a sore loser, but I didn't know you were that awful. I guess that's what happens when you support spurs, you turn into a bitter bitter person. And also your team is shit.

I just got him in my fantasy team .... Certainly a big blow for Arsenal . Walcott is one of the best players in Arsenal . I love Walcott and seeing him go out for 6 months is painful . I think Arsenal won't loose momentum just yet especially if they sign new striker .

Karma? I'm sorry, I really like you Lodatz, but that's a HORRIBLE thing to say about Walcott and his career here. Spurs fans were actually throwing crap at him when he was injured on the pitch and yelling "LET HIM DIE" and he responded with a joke. But regardless of WHAT he did, this is not karma, and I am disgusted by people who are saying it is. Wow.

@onenil: seriously there is ZERO room for any Gooner to whine about fan behavior, here.

You want a more balanced perspective? Here's one:

<http://www.dearmrlevy.com/dml/2014/1/7/hypocrisy>

The title is chosen for a reason. When Gooners were singing, avidly about how much they love Charlie Adams for breaking Bale's leg, where was this supposed outrage and disgust? When Spurs fans boo Walcott for staying down, after he'd faked it so many times before that afternoon, he responded with 'a joke'? Please. He responded as exactly what he is: a little cock who takes more pride in being smug than in professionalism.

Sure, I gather some things were thrown at him, after this. I have no sympathy for him for that, because if you're3 going to go out of your way to insult and rile up a group of people, one should not get mad when they respond unkindly. But at least Spurs fans can point to this as their catalyst.

What's the excuse for the Goons who were throwing things at Spurs players earlier in the game, just because they could?

Theo will sit and earn a lot of money during his 'ordeal'. He's not a 'victim'. What he is is a spoiled little brat, who thought he was funny, and now is out of the running for the World Cup.

That's karma.

...because you know what?

If he hadn't done that? No-one would be laughing about his injury. No-one, even Spurs fans, would be mocking it. We'd be saying things like: "Well, I hate the guy, but wouldn't wish that upon him..." or what-have-you, as has happened a multitude of times, in fact.

No, he called this reaction down upon himself, because he thought he was going to be big and clever, and stick his neck out for the amusement of KingHenry.

That's why I have precisely zero sympathy for him. Let him miss out on his last chance to be part of an England World Cup squad, and let being an also-ran at Arsenal be the highlight of his career. He doesn't deserve any better than that.

Nope. Insinuating cause and effect (a la "karma") between Theo's harmless gesture and his career altering injury is just stupid, mean sour grapes. He is known to be a good guy, was in great form, and doesn't DESERVE this. I doubt you really believe in some sort of actual retribution, and would take back the comment about the karma crap if you weren't backed into a corner, but I'm just sort of disappointed that anyone from one club would wish ill on another in this way, especially a guy who is not, like so many footballers, a total dick.

I feel bad about this, but that's all I'm going to say further here.

@Lodatz, I feel like most of your outrage has nothing to do with Walcott, but rather the manner in which Spurs lost. I know you wouldn't wish such a possibly career-defining injury, like an ACL rupture on any player. What Walcott did was a reaction to thousands of people yelling profanities at him, throwing middle fingers, blaming him for time wasting, calling him a fake, possibly throwing coins, among other things. I am sure a lot of people would have reacted the way he did, and I don't buy a word of your bull-sh*t, righteous and morally superior attitude that you think all players should abide by. Because knowing you (based on your posts) and your dogmatic and opinionated attitude towards almost anything football related, I think you would've done the exact same thing. Derbies and rivalries can bring the worst out of people and you trying to justify how Spurs fans behaved with how Arsenal fans have behaved in the past is just plain irrelevant and a cop-out on your part. And come one mate, Soldado was a flop: 5 goals (4 from penalties) in 18 apps in the league is abysmal given how much Spurs paid and the fact that he'll be 29 soon.
