Wow, the lowest English team makes double Bayern and BVB... Makes you wonder what the competition would be like if all leagues had equal distribution. Hard for other teams to compete with Barca Real City Chelsea etc.
Cardiff received almost as Bayern München and PSG put together.. Impressive how much money the clubs get for the TV rights. I think it's fair in the EPL and Bundesliga, no wonder why everyone in the EPL strengthened up each year to make the league more competitive. In La Liga I think it's just unfair if they all receive as much as in the EPL, La liga would be more interesting since the competition will be fair. Of course if you support Barcelona or Real Madrid you won't feel the others pain who receives just 18 millions.
Most competitive ? Come on i guess Villareal would be title contenders in PL...
I cant understand how some teams underachieve with the budgets they have, and the wages they pay players, its completely uncomprehensible for me...
Actually, la liga is more exciting this year, 3 teams still competing for title, 7 for CL, 9 for Europe...
In PL the CL race is exciting, but no strong contender, only Chelsea seems to be as regular as Eurpeen elite standarts...

@tiki_taka I was not comparing between who is a better league than the other I was just saying that La Liga would be more competitive if every club receives as much as in the EPL. And seriously mate Villarreal ? lol apart from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid the others would fight relegation or be in mid table and the other 3 would fight for top 4 That's my guessing as well. Let's end this here so we don't go and have another EPL<>La Liga thread :)
@raimondo Eh that's your response when Real and Barca each earns 700% more in tv income than the lowest positioned team in your league..? Now that makes me wonder how the competition would be like if the teams had somewhat equal share of the tv distribution money.. But then again, it's supply and demand.. That's also the reason to why the BPL has more than twice as high tv income than any other leagues..
KTBFF, what? I don't understand what you are going at? Yes Spain is awful in term of fairness. What i was trying to say is that if every team had fair distribution (in example every team in the top leagues earned 50million) what would be the competition in each league and in europe.
That also brings the question, would teams rely more on youth? Is that why every other league brings youth players more frequently than England? (this is opinion not a fact, i could be wrong)
the BPL started this whole 'get-shit-loads-paid-in-tv-revenue-thing'. The football league used to distribute the tv income equally to all teams and that didn't work out too well. In fact, that's the reason to why the BPL was created in the first place.
As to the competition, Bayern are still competitive in terms of income thanks to sick sponsorships and an arena that takes twice as many as Chelseas among other things. Other teams have rich owners. It's pretty much all about the money nowadays.
And the reason the BPL brings fewer youth players than other leagues are a) the revenue is A LOT higher in England than other leagues, meaning that they buy more talent than grow themselves. b) Since England only has U21etc teams in comparison to the B-teams in the same league system in Spain, more players get on loan and thus ends up elsewhere.
money distribution in la liga is so unfair, thats probably why la liga is so boring. year by year, it is a 2 horse race for the title. atletico madrid is exceptional, hats off to them
Money distribution in La Liga is unfair and just confirms the reason why Real And Barcelona are dominant in Europe. However, it will all change in time .
Bundesliga surprising numbers lower than SERIA A wow , I thought they making more than italian league .
Main thing I pissed about : EPL clubs are making so much money , it is time to lower ticket prices !!! WTF seriously . Another deal soon to come in place that will increase their earnings and we , fans , still getting robbed !!!
@iamRDM
"thats probably why la liga is so boring"
I suggest you watch some of La Liga first before labelling the league as 'boring'.
That is the flaw in getting so much money with TV rights, it stops the development of young players. Talking about my own team here, there was a time when we brought through loads of young players because we were couldn't afford to buy these amazing players so we brought players through our academy. However when you get this much money from TV rights you don't need to do that anymore, it annoys me because we have some decent young players like Ravel Morrison, George Moncur and Dan Potts but unless they are amazing on a loan period or in the one game they get in the whole season then they just go out on loan again or just sit on the bench and eventually leave when they are 24 and their talent is wasted.
This is why the other national sides are way above us (England). Although Spain didn't have a great world cup you know that they have an awesome side and I am not saying we are crap but having so much money has stopped the youth development in this country we need to find a balance so we bring young players through each year and still have a arguably the best league.
This also applies to other teams as well as West Ham, when was the last time Chelsea or Man City brought a player through the academy. They just seem to buy their players, the only side that constantly brings players through their academy is Southampton and Arsenal don't count cause they buy their young players from other clubs like Southampton.
Money doesnt buy success, i repeat, Valencia or Villareal would be title contenders in PL, top 2-4 PL team level and consistence is ridiculous, rather have consistent teams rather than a League with same level and finally no big team....
@Tiki_taka Why do you keep comparing the leagues with nonsense, it's like if I say QPR would win La Liga 10 years in a row if they were playing in La Liga... Be more reasonable and rational mate.
Im not comparing, i guess you find it logical that people find a league boring, if you dont follow any team in a league than normally you arent interested in it, im neutral PL follower and i cant finish a English game because i dont like how Football is played there but i respect others and i need to have form information to win money on betting...
I cant be more rational than judging on results, im not judging on hype or heart choices, at the moment PL level is on a very bad time and the fans keep saying stupidities, not sure if you can understand that Villareal or Valencia are stronger than Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal and maybe City at the moment, thats not hating thats an opinion who could be realistic....
You should look on what you say about other leagues before jumping on someone who does just the same thing in the opposite way, backed with sportive results...
Im not comparing leagues, Spanish league is the most enjoyable League at the moment in Footballing quality, and people find it okay to say its boring, then why getting irritating if i say what i think is complete truth about PL ?
The league was won before it even started, looked like a top 2 race at the start but turned into a 1 horse league, and fans should get over it, Clubs are rich yes but profit what owners make doesnt count as an argument in comparing pitch issues...
Its like going to a ghettoo talented youth and say i have more money and better equipments, i surely play better....
Villareal/Valencia/Sevilla are strong teams on the pitch and what im saying is very rational, so you have the right to state anything you want ( boring, weak, unfair ) the pitch says something else and no need to wait for a Liverpool - Real Madrid or Barça - City or even next games in CL or EL to realize that the level is overhyped by non related pitch issues...
My opinion, respect yours.
This is why its an even greater achievment that La Liga has the class it has in all the teams (yes Batak, if La Liga mid-table teams play vs PL mid table teams, the La Liga teams are likely to win, same for the bottom-teams). Much is down to manegers and the youth academies, Viva La Liga!!
and i do agree with Tiki, Valencia/Villarreal/Sevilla would be top contenders in PL
as for @iamRDM: watch it, its not boring, good football and always exciting races for CL spots and the relegation. Also you do know that there has been 5 different La Liga winners in the last 14 years, MORE than PLs 4 in the same period

the gap, 140m -48m. ridiculous
Makes you wonder, how good teams like Valencia and Atletico would be with 100 + mil a season. They could, probably would, be big contenders in CL.
@tiki @knibis No. Just No.
"Valencia or Villareal would be title contenders in PL". HAHAHAHA. Sometimes you make me laugh. What's going on in your head? Villareal would be able to beat Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchster United, Liverpool and/or Arsenal? In the short run and in the long run? Lol. You're funny.
" if La Liga mid-table teams play vs PL mid table teams, the La Liga teams are likely to win". Hmmm. No.
So in the one ring corner we got Tottenham, Swansea, Everton, West Ham, Stoke, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and West Bromwich
In the other ring corner we've got Malaga, Celta Vigo, Espanyol, Athletic Bilbao, Rayo Vallecano, Real Sociedad, Eibar and Getafe.
The only team they would beat is PERHAPS crystal Palace and West Bromwich. But I'm guessing they would have a hard time doing that even with Pardew as manager for CP.
As to the league itself, it's not boring at all even though we know that the winners will be either Barca or Real in 95% of the time. The fight for the Cl spots are usually intense.
but @knibis Interesting that you came up with 14! years to compare the winners of the leagues. A suitable number in favor of la Liga. Indeed La liga has had 5 winners then but Real and Barca still have 10 titles between them in the same period.
@knibis Actually he has any right to find it boring, in this terms its about Footballing taste, if you want crosses, shoots from distance or 0 tactical awarness and crazy games then you would prefer PL.
But pitch results and other point of view shouldnt be denied or treated as irrational, whats irrational is Liverpool loosing to Besiktas, only able to score a pk on them same with Ludogretz, Basel...
That Tottenham couldnt make it elsewhere any year any time and against any opposition, to see Arsenal loose on their own ground 4 succesful years with the same method and against the 4th of La ligue 1 lately, to see PL holders struggle each year to make any far in CL and struggle against Roma CSKA...
Top 3 in Spain at least get 15pts/18 in CL group stage each year and im sure Villareal/Sevilla/Valencia could make into quarters...
Its more than the players you have in possesion or the equipments or fan base, people forget that football is a 90 minutes games between 22 men on a green pitch, anything outside this is just buisness and marketting...
Having money doesnt make you the most competitive or the strongest, or we would see 4 English clubs in semi final of any Europeen contest, which used to happen in 2005 when it was actually the case...
Now things are different and saying so shouldnt be called irrational, PL fans narcisism make them ignore pitch reality...
Im worried more about todays game VS Villareal than the 2nd leg VS City, this is my actual feeling, doesnt care how you feel about it, i actually didnt bet on Barça vs Villareal because the win isnt granted at the opposite, agaisnt City i beted massivlely for 90% of making money...
