If Wenger signs Welbeck I'm going on a rampage... we don't need a Bendtner replacement for crying out loud! Sign Reus or Carvalho or Bony! Or all of them... look at how much the other title contenders spent. I feel so helpless :'(

We could have done a lot more with this transfer window, If we brought Falcao then why couldn't we bring a nice CB to complete our defensive line?

BTW. Arsenal fans, we now have Falcao so you can have Welbeck as your desperately needed striker. He is having a medical at Arsenal right now so it seems like a done deal. Thank us later ;)

Wenger is doing referee in a charity match at Roma. Disappointment...

@Tuanis After Lord Chamakh, Lord Bendtner now Lord Welbeck aka Black Pele...

Sky sources understand Manchester United and England strikerDanny Welbeck is currently undergoing a medical with Arsenal. Tottenham were also very interested in the forward.

Maybe Wenger is actually a Spurs fan in disguise trying to sabotage Arsenals title chances. It sure looks that way right now.

Imo, it's too late for him to fill all the holes in his team now. For the first time in a while, I can't see Wenger making it in to the top four.

@V, If the rumors are true, RVP is going to have a major knee operation which will keep him out for a prolonged period of time. Falcao is more than a decent replacement. Our defense does not need reinforcement at this time. We need a player like De Jong or Moutinho though ASAP.

Tell you what @Vendetta, neither do I. I can understand how the fact that the only way to compete with top-flight teams is to spend a large amount of money is really annoying. But the sad truth is that this is what modern football has come to. Why doesn't Wenger get that? In order to win... you need to spend.

I rather see Sanogo than Welbeck. Title contenders when signed Alexis, now we're not even top 4 contenders.

@quikzyyy, you're going to be eating your words in a few weeks. Welbeck is a very good striker and would fit in well at Arsenal.

Arsenal has Campbell sitting right there waiting to be given the opportunity to shine but no, the decide to bring in Welbeck and probably sell him.

Wenger yesterday: We don't want sell Campbell, because I said no.
So then he decide to play Sanogo, and buys Welbeck.
Wenger before transfer window: We can buy any player except Messi, Ronaldo, Bale.
In the end: We got Welbeck
Now let's sign Fred & Cleverly too, and we can enjoy fighting for Europa League.

The reports out there indicate that the Welbeck move is a loan move and not permanent. I am a bit happier about this :)

Welbeck to Arsenal on permanent (not confirmed yet); Falcao to Man Utd on loan with an option of buying (reminds me of Tevez)

About Welbeck, he reminds me of inconsistent Henry at Monaco/Juventus. I think Wenger could make him a very good player if Welbeck starts to use his brain!

Let's hope you guys are right. I'm just bummed out because multiple reports claimed that Arsenal were chasing Reus for quite some time now and that he rejected a contract extension... So I really thought we'd sign him today... But that's just wishful thinking, I guess.
