To cheer up Chelsea fans (that's why I titled it 'To The Chelsea Fans Here') and make them look at the bright side of things rather than argue all the time like the forum has done for the past week now. It sadly didn't work out though.

Bravo, yeah Chelsea's fans, just chill. There are way too many fights already.
I did the similar thing back then (not to cheer fans up though) as I was calling for all United supporters to stay behind the team and hope for "the biggest bus ever" to win Bayern

This may sound odd, but when you get the negative comments and the hate is a good thing, because it's a sign that were are in the right direction. Hate will always be there as long as we are winning, I mean let's face it, why would of the other fans be happy if we win in the best manner or so called entertaining style? (with the exception when we're representing england)
I thought we also missed player like Matic . He gives us that balance in midfield . Luiz is good bu Matic is precise passer and reads the game masterfully .
Either way I am not feeling too disappointed at all . I thought we had a great season . We have accomplished so much we just need one more piece to puzzle and we will be romping in the league and europe . If we came this far with this squad , I am confident we can accomplish so much more next season .
Cheer up and ignore any negative comments about our club for the time being. I know you want to defend our club but it's expected considering our reputation. Just let it slide for now. Now let's get to the point.
If I told you back in November 2012, when Roberto Di Matteo was sacked, that we would take part in the race for the EPL title, thrash our London rivals Arsenal 6-0 and Tottenham 4-0 each, see United finish out of the top 5, (probably) be the ones to stop Liverpool from winning the EPL (thank god), not lose to a top 4 team at all this season in the EPL, do a Napoli again on PSG after an emotional aggregate comeback, make it to the CL semi-finals, and most importantly, have Mourinho as our manager once again... would you guys really have even dreamed of something like that in just one season after RDM's sacking?
The answer is clearly no. We were a big disappointment yesterday against Atletico and there is no excuse for our loss. They were simply better than us. But don't let that one match get to you. We defied the odds once again in a quarter final match and at least we got past the group stages this time. But here is a couple of things to remember. Number One: We have been England's main representatives for European competitions for quite some time now. Number Two: How long have we been their main representatives you ask? 1038 days (about three seasons), that is how long we've haven't been knocked out from a European competition. It started in 2011 and ended yesterday against Atletico. Just look at this:
As for the EPL, there is a high chance we will finish third once again but as of now, we still have a chance of winning the EPL. Isn't that amazing?! Last year there was no chance since United were twenty points ahead of us at the top of the table. Look at them now, we should be thankful we didn't suffer the same fate as they did. So be optimistic!
Lastly, please remember that this is a TRANSITIONAL period for our club. Almost all of our old guards have left and many have left already. Most likely, Lampard or Cech are up next to leave the club. Maybe even Cole as well. And while that does leave a bitter taste in every Chelsea fan's mouth, it also comes with a fantastic spice for the future. One that blends the likes of Eden Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle, Salah, Van Ginkel, Kalas, Chalobah, Azpilicueta, Courtois, Lukaku, Omeuro, and many many more. The future is bright at Chelsea. We might not win anything this season but I'm happy enough with third place in the EPL (and Liverpool not being first) and being CL semi-finalists. We never were going to do anything big in Mourinho's first season back at Chelsea, especially with such a young squad. Like the article I posted yesterday said, people just think the words 'Mourinho' and 'transition' can't be in the same sentence. Just leave those guys alone because they're clearly in denial.
Be patient. I guarantee you guys in one or two seasons we'll be the best in England once again. We're going to take the EPL by storm and be a force to reckon with in Europe as well. It will be like 2004-05 again, except it will take some time.
So far now, remember to always keep the blue flag flying high!
