okay so those that dont know france clubs built many nice stadiums for the future hosting of the euros. i specualte what cash rich psg may now do and we see images of lille stadium. more plans continue including that of marseille to transform the velodrome. see below for current and after visions.....
this is quite a plan and i couldnt believe when i see it. 250m euros to bring in this new roof and increase capacities to 67000. the second pic of the steel structure of the roof is literally being built over the stadium as we speak! i shall get images of this when i can and post here for everyone.
okay as promised i can now show pictures of this incredible works happening NOW to velodrome of marseiiles
My sources in marseille say that the famous poudian stand will be knocked down soon with roof cladding contract on tender now
I also have images that have been sent to me now by my contacts and will post these later. It shows current piodain stand and images of how this will look after renovations. Marseille is European capital of culture 2013 and its fittings imo that velodrome stays and is upgraded in such views of an amazing honour and award such as this
okay i have the images below now of famous jean bouin (poudian) France's most
famous terrace. Fairwell Jean Bouin!
stayings on topics of france and famous aspects...... lots of you wont know there is a deeply historic club in france called st etienne. they do renovations and i bring pics soon :)
Kazakstan's national teams home stadium, Astana Arena:
Sapporo Dome :)
@knibis i never knew kazaghstan would have such nice stadium! did it open recently and do you have capacity? is borat the manager ;)
Not good news for Valencia I'm afraid. Things were moving again but the bank who are owed so much by Valencia Bankia have won a court overturn decision to seize back majority shareholding in the club. Frederick Verona wants to negotiators the debt with Bankia but they won't lower demands. The 2007 decision to build when no buyer had been found for current stadium site is the problems. That should have been big money into Valencia. Now the mestalla is mortgaged causing more issues. This club is €350m in debt and need €150m to start building again. Sad that while 1 & 2 in Spain flourish number 3 club has these long money issues :(
post in the new stadium thread part 2, here <http://footyroom.com/forum/euro-2012/the-stadium-thread-part-2-46356>
:)
Holy crap, Ajax, that Marseilles stadium looks immense...
These renovations lodatz are truly groundbreaking and incredible. Look over previous pages for more details :)
okay big news i have pictures of proposed new feyenoord stadium. like spurs and bilbao they plan to build right next to current stadium - the famous kuip. i dont know how feyenoord will finance this as they have no money. they want naming rights but hope not to pay any euros themselves ha! will be 60k i think
you can bit of current kuip in both images. more to come as i get it....
ok but post it in stadium thread 2 instead...
Thought it be good idea to have a thread dedicated to stadiums. we can post pictures of the homes of our teams and let each other know of their history, plans to renovate them or plans to build new stadiums :)
