the "OTHER" transfers...

A lot of threads have been made about highporfile transfer sagas and higher profile clubs so I though it might be nice to list some of the less mentioned signings/clubs here

DI Natalie- renewed his contract with Udinese until June 30th 2015 with an option for a further season. Great news as the loyal man wants to retire there despite STILL being courted by other clubs. Di Natale scored 23 league goals for Udinese last season - a tally he has reached in each of the last four campaigns.

WIlfried Bony - Swansea have signed the 24 yo striker from Vitesse Arnhem for a rumoured £12m. The imposing CF was the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season having scored 31 goals in just 30 games for Vitesse. This could prove to be an inspired buy.

Aroune Kone - Everton have triggered the £5m release clause for the Wigan striker.

Antolin Alacaraz - The defender signed a 2 year deal with Everton on a free

Jozy Altidore - Sunderland have signed the 23 yo American CF from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. Since moving from Villarreal to AZ in August 2011 he has proved an instant hit, scoring 38 goals in 67 appearances. The strong striker will be Paolo Di Canio's 6th signing of the summer and probably most expensive. the fee is undisclosed.

Feel free to add others (they should be complete or just about already).

AC Milan have signed Andrea Poli (Sampdoria), while CB Bartosz Salamon is part of the deal and moves to Sampdoria. This is a controversial transfer as Poli was loaned to local rival Inter last year.

Free agent Roque Santa Cruz moves to Malaga and signs for 3 years.

Malagas' CB Demichelis has been signed by Atletico Madrid for a fee of € 2 m as he didn't want to extend his contract at Malaga.

Arsenal target Clement Grenier extended his contracted at Olympique Lyon.

AS Roma signed for around 30 Million the last few days, Strootman from PSV for 18 M.E (who was also roumered to Man U and other big clubs), Mehdi Benatia from Udinese for 13.5 M.E (not everyday defenders are this expensive) and ofcorse Maicon on free transfer.

But they might have to let go of their 19 year old CB star Marquinhos if PSG sell Thiago Silva to Barca, but they will get a fair amount of cash for him, around 30 M.E...

It's scary how even after spending 37 million pounds, Shakhtar Donetsk still have a benefit of 22.5 million pounds from just Mkhitaryan and Fernandinho. O.o

took the chance when Cavani signed, if they waited longer other clubs might have been wanting him badly aswell,

Its obvious he wanted to leave, who wants to be third choice behind Cavani and Zlatan

He's worth a punt at 10m euros, sure. Should be noted though that he had 18 sub appearances, to go with his 10 starts, and only got 8 goals. Not the worst ratios in the world, but, hence the low price-tag.

Mmm, Dzeko would be decent for you lot. As long as its under 20 mil.

Spurs sell Caulker to Cardiff for 8.5m pounds, apparently.

Nor sure how I feel about that. Sure, the kid still had a lot to develop, but he was solid, intelligent with the ball, and could have been a real starter by next season (he already played 18 times for us across all competitions, last season).

Still, maybe he just wasn't what AVB wanted for the long-term. 8.5m is a good fee for him; just kinda hoped that one of our youth products would make it to the top with us.

Wow... we also just sold Dempsey to Seattle Sounders (my new home team!) for just under 6m pounds (about 96% of what we paid for him last summer).

I'm kinda glad, actually, cause now I get to cheer for him in person, plus my real club didn't lose any money on him. :)

Google says his salary was 7.4 million USD. that's a decent reduction in the wage bill as well.

BTW didn't he force his way out of Fulham not too long ago because he wanted to play CL football. Whatever happened to that?

@Fred: yeah, he basically wanted a step up, and when Liverpool were interested in him, he kinda forced the issue. Then apparently we bid for him on the final day, and he went for us instead (he was a Spurs fan as a boy, but I suspect we offered higher wages).

That's just what I 'understand', though. From what the news reports said at the time.

Ah yes, more midfielders. Does AVB intend to play 3-6-1
