Steven forgot barca and reals history
and no barca fans you are not getting our best CB for under 20 M, he even has a bat (bat symbolizing valencia) tatoo with his shirt number on his calf..
we may have lost Bernat to bayern for 10M this summer but Mathieu will stay ....i hope
When did Bayern get Bernat ? also going off topic here but whats your view on Sofiane Feghouli?
"Lol PL fans hiding their frustration :) You know now where all the World class players are playing :D,"
I guess you now know where Barca and Real have to turn in order to find players better than their own. :) It's funny how the world transfer record keeps being broken by transfers from England TO Spain, isn't it, and not the other way around.
Must everything become a fight, with you? It's not like you even win them.

You're always starting a fight, tiki.
ALWAYS.

@Dynast:
Ah, my mistake. I was just taking it from this source:

Well at least we form players, money teams are more actually in England steven.
And for Suarez, Mascerano and Fabregas all agreed to lower their wages to come play at Barça ;) so you see its not really a wage problem, the opposite is true by the way. :)
Take it easy guys nobody is looking for a fight here, right ?
@Salahdin you are 100 per cent right, i dont like the actual changes, but i prefer changing rather than see RM monster team winning over and over and over again...

That's interesting. I believe that impression might be a little false:
€277 million. That's just in the Guardiola period, too.
How much was spent in the Rijkaard era, and the Cruyff era, and the Van Gaal era, and the post-Guardiola era?
Well, totalling up all of Barcelona's transfer history since 1994, and excluding the Guardiola era, that's actually €457m.
Together? 457 + 277 = €734m
Not a 'money club', indeed.

^ Compared to City or Chelsea or PSG, we arent...
And yes we are earning big amounts of money lately, not a reason to feel sad for your team.
We are competing with RM, REAL MADRID....

"Compared to City or Chelsea or PSG, we arent..."
Pfft. You've just been doing it longer. Massive, expensive investment in foreign players is the only reason Barcelona became anything at all, to be in the position where a great man like Cruyff can invent your style of football for you and set up his academy. And to be perfectly honest, that academy has not produced anywhere near the type of talent that it did a decade ago. You agree, right?
The simple fact is that the Big Guns in Spain are having to buy from the English league, because their current players in those positions (including the La Masia generation after Messi and Iniesta) are simply not as good as the PL players who are replacing them.
And I never said you should feel sad for your team. It just makes a mockery of the accusation you were making, and all the trash you keep talking about the Premier League.
Why do you keep doing that, by the way?

If you understand this that way, then its not intentional...
I give my point as you love to give yours.
"We are competing with RM, REAL MADRID...."
Yes, you are, And they are even more of a 'money' team.
They are the ORIGINAL 'money' team, in fact. Barcelona kind of copied them, in that respect.

As Bayern and everybody, we dont want to become a midtable team again or depend on generations and have dificult transitions...
Thats the way it is.
( But we remain bic formator club, and giving many talents to others )

@StevenLFC
As quoted by Tiki_taka
*"...we dont want to become a midtable team again or depend on generations and have dificult transitions...*Thats the way it is."
Yes, that is the way it is. Players will go for the fattest wages, and Madrid and Barca just seem to offer both the history and glamour and the wages. If a player has a choice of playing for PSG or Real Madrid, most would pick Madrid because they can offer the same wages as PSG, with the additional fame and glory as well. It is prestigious to play for immensely successful clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, AC Milan, etc. Right now, United and Milan are still rebuilding, so Barca and Madrid are the two big powerhouses.
Now really, do you think that van Persie left Arsenal just for money? There is a glamorous side to playing for Manchester United. Their history is unbelievable. And if van Persie can carve his name into United's history, he can write his name in with the most historically successful English club in history.
"and giving many talents to others"
Farming them out to other teams, certainly, and then bringing them back if they become good. Pique, Alba and Fabregas are prime examples of this. Thiago will probably go the same way, when he hits his prime.
Capitalism, baby.
The kid plays at the age of 7 at Barça, it doesnt matter where he was born he is a Barça product. You form a player for more than 7 years and he should be supposed to not represent the Club ?
Halilovic wont be a Barça product, Messi is...

Did Arsenal not form Fabregas for 8 years, too? Did United not develop Pique for 4 years from a kid who wasn't good enough to break into the first team?
I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.
@Tiki
I think you're confusing "coming from the youth team" with "producing talent". Cristiano came from Sporting CP's youth team, but it was Manchester United who developed him into the best in the world at the time. Messi both came through La Masia and was developed by Barcelona. Cesc came out of La Masia, but was developed by Arsenal. Etc, etc.
Pogba wasnt good enough for United :). And we are happy to give you Fabregas back.
"Pogba wasnt good enough for United :)"
Now your point is even harder to identify. What are you talking about?
"And we are happy to give you Fabregas back."
Who is "you"?

No its clear Piqué/Pogba, we the fans.
What ever...

Yesterday night, 9th July 2014, Barca, Liverpool and Suarez have come to an agreement of his transfer after a week of negotiation.
Cant say much about it, he's an outstanding striker and wouldn't have any problem adapting La Liga.
But €88m is way way too much!!! He's 27, and is incredibly unpredictable, imagine he did something stupid in CL's semi-final???
I feel kinda sad for Liverpool >.< it would be much sweeter if they was champ last year... but since Suarez hasn't contributed much to the trophy cabinet there... it's sad.
Anyway, good luck to Barca, Liverpool and especially Suarez... sad news for EPL though.
