So this is what a red card looks like nowadays...

Cristiano got a red card for this. Now, he's lost 2 points against Bilbao, and will miss the next match against Villareal and a semi-final match against Atletico in the Copa.

I seriously can't believe how this is a red card. It's a simple yellow for me. There was no "danger" or "harm" that Gurpegi had suffered from having his face shoved away. And yet, he falls like a twig.

Mascherano is a disgusting player. Almost as bad as Pepe.

He scratched his face! That is not a red card? The ban is also justified.

& as for Mascherano that was a penalty that was not given. He needs to be sold along with Dani Alves and a bunch of other players. Barcelona have to rebuild, this squad is not good enough to be the best in the world again. Messi is being used as a midfielder which is bothering me so much. How do you put someone who bangs in 80+ a year in the midfield? Martino needs to re-evaluate his game plan ASAP.

@Dynastian Chaps like Pepe have passion for the game, rushing in with challenges and playing dirty. Which makes the match hostile and exciting. Mascherano is just a prick who cheats with dives etc.

@Dephased

Glad you appreciate Pepe's enthusiasm, but why is "playing dirty" any different from "cheating and diving"? There is no pride in playing dirty.

The funny thing is, you have it the complete opposite.

Dephased misunderstood football with boxing or rugby..

@Dynastian It depends, if you do it for your team and damaging the others it is. If you do because of personal grudges it doesnt. Diving is disgraceful and ruins the game, throwing in hard tackles and showing passion makes the game more exciting for one and shows the player actually bothers to take one for the team. The only thing that matters in football is giving your hardest and fighting for your team through the 90 minutes. And no @StevenLFC i dont, i appreciate passion over footballing ability.

@Dephased There is a difference between (Passion and Dirty). Football has rules everyone should follow, otherwise it will turn into a fighting show. You must have enjoyed this match then. there you go "Too much passion for you" I'm sorry but 99.9% of football fans don't enjoy this kind of what you call "Passion"
