So, your reasoning as to why Eto' made those remarks boils down to: he's an arrogant, pretentious little tit?
Well, sir, we are in complete agreement. Enjoy paying him 6m a year. ;)

@Lodatz: Most of his goals for Spain came against Tahiti and Nigeria. Not the biggest of accomplishments in his career really. And let's look at his 22 goals for Chelsea.
Manchester City in the Community Shield. Not the most important for us really.
Tap-in vs Reading FC. Also, it was offside.
Newcastle United. I'll give him credit where it's due. It was a great goal.
Arsenal. Another great goal.
Norwich City. Great header, Torres was on form for a while in the start.
Shakhtar. All he did was just raise his foot hoping the ball deflects into the goal.
Nordsjelaind. A team we beat 4-0 and 6-1. Any decent striker could have scored against them.
Norsejelaind. Another tap in.
Sunderland. His first goal for Benitez at Chelsea.
Sunderland. Penalty.
Deflected shot against a Japanese team in the CWC.
Leeds United. Championship team.
Aston Villa. Great header.
Bournemouth. Championship team, but nevertheless, great goal.
Steaua. Easy team and credit to Hazard for his great dummy.
Steaua again.
Rubin Kazan.
Rubin Kazan again. Great chip though.
Basel. And off from a save from the keeper.
Basel again.
Benfica. Thank you for that, Torres.
Clearly these 22 goals don't justify how bad he is. Two of them against a Danish team, 1 offside goal against a relegated team, 1 goal against a Japanese team, two goals against championship teams, 6 goals against Europa League teams, and barely any goals in the Premier League or FA Cup.
Despite being an asshole and being cocky, Eto'o is a class player and as long as he gives it his all against Chelsea, I will gladly pay a striker as good as him 6 million a year (he is on a 1 year contract too). To make it better for us, we didn't even have to pay Anzhi anything to get him.
@V I'm sure Etoo's quotes, which are real, had nothing at all to do with the fact that he was being racially abused...
^^ I'm equally sure that it had nothing to do with that, either, because there was never a shred of validity to that claim. Both he and Ronaldinho tried to milk that one heavily, and UEFA were not impressed, once it became obvious how flimsy the accusation was.
That always pissed me off on Chelsea's behalf, in fact.
"We were the only team that wanted to play football. Chelsea going through is a disaster for football," he said.
"And if this team wins the Champions League, it would make you want to retire. With so much money and so many players, what they do is not football."
Okay now I'm starting to find it difficult to welcome the guy. You better make up for you're comments Eto'o. The fact that you insulted Mourinho in 2005 and now call him the best manager in the world is a sign of a possible redemption at Chelsea.
