- Torres
- Eto
- Lukaku
- Ba..
Mourinhno should play with 5midfielders, of which, one attacking midfield..put a sole striker forward. I think he'll rotate his squad often so as all the players will get their chance

Don't get mad at my opinion, it may be bias, but I think Eto'o is better than Torres and will prove that this season. Eto'o is a natural finisher, Torres has transitioned into a creative passing striker. I think Chelsea have enough creative players and what they actually needed was a player with an eye for goal.
i read that he went from 20 M salary a year in Anzhi to 6 in Chelsea....
Our Strikers options will be this way now.
1- Eto'o.
2- Lukaku.
3- Torres.
4- Ba.
There are a lot of rumors that Ba will go back to Newcastle & Torres might be sold.
@tdot I totally agree with you and I would definitely prefer starting Eto'o ahead of Torres or Ba. Lukaku will have his chance. We need all those quality players because we have a lot of matches to play so there will definitely be a major rotation system under Mourinho.
Mourinho:
'You look at Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, you go to any big team, Tottenham, Bayern, they have many options, because people want to compete in different competitions.
'After this match we have a double international fixture, and after that we play consecutively in the Champions League and Capital One Cup, so we need players in large numbers, we can't do it with just 10 or 12, we need 20, and that's the reason why we've tried to strengthen our squad.'
@Lodatz: Torres is definitely not our best striker.
I'm very happy with this move. A great, experienced striker for our team who can take Lukaku under his wing, and he didn't even cost a penny!
@Vendetta it IS true, he did say that.
^Here's a tip, don't trust 101 Great Goals when it comes to football news.
1) No proper newspaper has reported this. Only twitter, facebook, troll football and 101GG have brought up this fake quote
2) They provide no evidence in that article. If you're going to post a source, at least make sure you know the website have evidence about the news.
3) You can immidiately notice how fake it is by seeing the dates this quote was given according to Troll Football and 101GG. Troll Football say it was during 2004, while 101GG say it was during 2005. They're just spitting out whatever they hear to generate views.
So no, it's not true. And no, 101GG should never be used as a source to a football news.
Why won't you just face the truth?
That article still doesn't provide any evidence about the quote's truth. Also, no, we wont treat Eto'o like Benitez because Benitez has constantly insulted Chelsea and Mourinho (I can't really blame him for hating Jose, many do) in the EPL. Meanwhile, you give me two links of Eto'o's fake quote in two different websites that provide no evidence of where and when Eto'o has insulted Chelsea.
Also, imagine the possibilities in Ultimate Team now!
How about this one?

From the leader of a Chelsea FAN CLUB. I quote:
Before the 2nd leg, there was too much noise from the Barca camp, and the one I particularly picked was the noise coming from Samuel Eto'o; he said Chelsea's team was a disgrace and they were outplayed and out classed by his Barca. He famously said that he would rather be selling groundnuts in his village than to play for a pathetic team like Chelsea. Whoever does not remember this, started following Chelsea after 2004. I have been an ardent Chelsea supporter since 2001. He kept on ranting that he couldn't wait for the 2nd leg so they could teach Chelsea a lesson. His noise angered me so much that I so much wished and prayed that we eliminate them. Nobody gave Chelsea a chance then (They have never given Chelsea a chance against Barca). Mourinho was very charismatic and full of confidence at the time, he was the reigning European Champion having just won the Champion's league with FCPorto then.
All of that is true. I remember it well, as that build-up was also the genesis of the famous 'anti-football' accusations launched by Barcelona at Chelsea.
It's true, V. He really said that. He's just conveniently forgotten it, because 8 years later he's now looking for a fat paycheck from you. ;)
Separately, I think everyone who thinks Torres is not Chelsea's best striker is underrating him. He's totally their best, Eto'o won't change that, especially as he is 32 years old and spent the last two years playing a standard below the Championship.
(you watch him get a hat-trick in his first game, now, to prove me wrong. :p)
@Lodatz: Oh well, if it's true then it's true. I doubt I can trust a random fan club leader on it though. I'm not believing it, but I'm not saying it's not possible either.I'm sure we can forgive him like we forgave Benitez. As for the fat paycheck, I don't think its the reason why he joined. Considering he was payed 20 million at Anzhi and had the chance to join Inter for the same wages, he clearly wanted to join Chelsea for Mourinho.
Also, I am not underrating nor overrating Torres. He is bad. He can't link-up as well as you think. Plus, he lost his pace and instinct to shoot. Eto'o on the other hand gave an amazing 12 years in Spain and a couple of great years in Italy. Despite him being in a shit league, Eto'o is still great, and now has experience on his book.
"had the chance to join Inter for the same wages, he clearly wanted to join Chelsea for Mourinho."
That certainly makes sense, yes.
" Plus, he lost his pace and instinct to shoot"
He's been doing well for Spain, and was great in the 2nd half of your season. I think he just wasn't being used properly, until Benitez.
He hasn't really been doing well with Spain. His highlight of the Confed cup was his 4 goals against the mighty Tahiti, and some goals against Nigeria. Also, he was never good in the second half of the season. Torres's best times during the season was in the Europa League, which means he was against Basel, Steaua and Rubin Kazan. Any decent striker would have done good against teams like these. Sure he did good in the Europa League and I thank him for that, but that's the EL. He couldn't step up in the EPL, FA Cup, C1C; and I doubt he'll step up in the CL this season either. I like Torres. I've always liked him and how great of a player he was in the past. But that's the old Torres. Our Torres is not as good as you think he is, and sadly, he never will be as good as he used to be either.

check this out lads
Torres stats:
Spain -- 9 goals in 15 appearances, across 2012-2013.
Chelsea -- 22 goals in the 2012-2013 season
I think you're being a little harsh on him.
@EH10: Dude, great freaking find!
Very interesting points to why Eto'o insulted Chelsea...
Eto'o also claims that Chelsea had an opportunity to bring him to the capital last summer but instead elected to turn their sights on Didier Drogba.
This could be one of the reasons why he hated Chelsea. Because they could have signed him, but opted to brush him away.
A bit of hate on Didier Drogba adds more to why he might have insulted Chelsea
''Never will I sign for a team trained by Mourinho. He wrecked things completely with his behaviour surrounding the two games between our sides.
People change their minds of time. He clearly has grown to love Jose more than any other manager. But still, another reason to why he may have insulted Chelsea.
''I am a better player than Didier Drogba and Mourinho knows that, and I am going to score more goals than Henry.''
Yep, he's pissed off Chelsea chose Drogba over him. We're not! Hahaha!
Now it's clear to me that he has insulted Chelsea in the past, but it seems that it's purely out of anger on Chelsea rejecting him for Drogba.
