After winning the game vs Atletico, Ronaldo got hit by a lighter. At least this is not a dive and whoever through it deserves red card.

I really hope the lighter is ok. Can someone confirm the well-being of the lighter?
Whoever through it have an amazing aim.

Lol, first the racism chants against Marcelo and his 5-year-old son and now the lighter incident with Ronaldo. Atletico need to be fined for their fans' actions.

Btw, the reaction from Ramos is pretty damn hilarious,

Casillas on the incident:

"Cristiano told us about what happened when he got back in the locker room at half-time. There’s always some lunatic around that does something like this. The consequences of someone lobbing a lighter like that could be serious and doesn’t represent the real quality that the Atlético Madrid fans have.

Stuff like this has to stay on the pitch and that’s all. Maybe we pay too much attention to actions like these. We have to move on and each individual should look out for the best interests of their club."

@Dynastian Atletico should be fined for their fans showing passion and throwing something after local their rivals? Oh god..

No wonder football atmosphere is on a steady decline.

  1. That AM fan has some serious accuracy... impressive
  2. Shame on their fans who clearly cant take a defeat, 2nd time this happens, 1st time was about racist insults.
  3. Dephased: I didn't get what you were trying to say, are you saying they shouldn't be fined? seriously?
  4. Ramos reaction was worth a whole new thread. Worth the entry.
  5. Both penalties were perfectly legal/valid/not-a-dive. Not that anyone asked but it was going there eventually.

The ref should go to jail :), giving a straight yellow to Ronaldo, That should go on a penal court...
Anyway, Congrats for Real Madrid and for all Football fans, another Clasico to watch :).
Anyone knows the location of the final ?

Its usually the Bernabeu or Valencias stadium.

@Tuanis No ofcourse not, thats what proper fans do as they hate the opposition.

@manchesterutI

Damn right ! Not easy to throw that light weight lighter so far from the stands right on to Ronaldo's head !

@wayneRooney I would say it was a soft penalty . There was a contact and it was a foul . I think it was 50/50 call but then again player always must fall down to get a foul and if Ronaldo did not there would not have been a penalty . Again referees need more assistance in this sort of decisions .

As far as punishment for fans ? I think one way to punish fans is to take away points from their club . Ohh I would have pull that thug out of the crowd to police within a second . Loosing points because of some thug fan ? Even thug fans would start to think twice before doing anything similar.

why also act so much after being hit by lighter ? Seriously ? This is the example these players set to young kids . All these medics surrounded him like he got hit by the asteroid.... smh footballers this days ! Our favorite sport in the world is mocked so often simply because of these vaginas that every club . Overreacting is same as diving . They both have a same purpose to get other players send off or get him a yellow least . They both should be reviewed after match and punished accordingly .

It would be unfair to single Atletico fans out. There is so much racism in Spanish football in general (not one single club).
They need to sort it out.

@Marcus ya i thought it was a soft penalty too

if they beat Barca without conceding any goals, that would be amazing. and cant w8 for classico :)

The guys you call thug fans are actually the proper fans my friends. Do you think guys sitting for 90 mins and clapping and not singing is proper fans? While the guys whos working class, loves the club stands and sings for 90 mins no matter the result and throws a lighter at hated opposition isnt? Some of you guys seriously have issues

how about the guys who're working class, love the club, stand and sing for 90 mins no matter the result and DON'T throw a lighter? being a fan is about loving your club, not about hurting other fans or players. if you wanna fight or let off some steam go to the gym, not to the stadium.

@Marcus

When a coin is dropped from the top of the Empire State Building, it can kill whoever it lands on below. That's because the further you drop an object from, the more velocity it picks up, and the more it hurts when it makes contact. The metal top of the lighter also broke off when the lighter hit his head, so I'm guessing that made it hurt so much.

@Dynastian98

Possibly , but then that guy must have a hell of an arm to throw it like that even if height and velocity will increace the power of impact .

@Dephased

You have very interesting way to justify lighter throwing . I urge you to go tomorrow onto street and throw one at pedestrian then say that you are hard working class citizen and sometimes you just need to let some steam go . Let me know how jail time went for you later ok mate ;)

Ok here is another solution . Every seat section in the stadium must have civil dressed police . Or have particular cameras monitoring sections of the stadium .

I liked your original idea of deducting points from the team for its fans' actions. If the fans truly care about the team's well-being, they would not do stupid things like this. I think Atletico fans are getting too cocky from their recent success.

This is what Marcelo got from sitting on the bench. Absolutely disgusting.
