It's ridiculous. Should have been 3 or 4 games banned. Doesn't matter if its CR7, Messi, the Pope or Obama, these kind of action resulted in 2 games ban is injustice.

I like Ronaldo a lot but this has to be at least 10 games ban . Kick a player intentionally from the back and slapping two players around .

@Marcus 10 games would have been probably too much, 3-5 games would have been perfect IMO.

I believe a 3 game ban is enough, 2 is a bit lenient, he is really lucky, hope he repay this by playing well against atleti

It's politics. He didn't receive a 3 match ban because then the third match would be vs. Atletico, and LFP want him playing against Atletico to get a lot of viewers.

Yeah, just how he didn't score last time against Atletico, right?
I thought there weren't many children left on FootyRoom anymore but I guess I was wrong.

Well considering Mexes only got 4 games after what he did then Ronaldo's sanction seems fair.

Well we will see, the important thing for me is the result of the game not if he will get rewarded a tap in or not, im not a fan boy, if my team loose i dont really care who scored...

Stop jumping on me, they did to Madrid another favour, its more and more irritating for other teams...

For the same reaction, Costa would get 7 games, Suarez would get 4 months, 3 games would have been fair, but they just had to make him play against Atleti...

Tiki, you are clearly hating on ronaldo, plus suarez bites for no reason at all, ronaldo got two players grabbing while it's the last 10 minutes on a 1-1 draw, that's the difference between the two, you can't bite someone from behind his back, chielini didn't piss or irritate suarez, so please don't compare this to Suarez

Comments deleted, fine by me. Next time please make sure the provocative commentators get punished. Fights don't start out of nowhere. They are instigated.

Will it cause too much trouble to compare this sanction to Costa's.

Both lost their temper and did some stupid or childish things. Both provoked by the heat of the game and the opposition's players. Costa was a little more clever with it (probably because of experience in the matter) and wasnt so obvious with the clear fouls. In the other hand Ronaldo simply lost it right in front of the referee.

Both deserve a similar sanction imo, Costa may have had a couple of dirty kicks on the game but Ronaldo's "foul" was way worst.

2-3 games for each one would be my final call. Ronaldo was shown a red card so a two match ban seems fine. Costa should get 2-3 games.
