The design sees the Premier League move away from title sponsorship, which is currently Barclays, and will be known as 'the Premier League' from the start of the next season, rather than the 'Barclays Premier League'.

Premier League managing director Richard Masters said:

From next season, we will move away from title sponsorship and the
competition will be known simply as the Premier League, a decision
which provided the opportunity to consider how we wanted to present
ourselves as an organisation and competition.

The change represents the Premier League's first visual rebrand since 2006.

It will be weird not saying BPL, but it does make sense. It's not Bud Light's La Liga, why should it be Barclay's Premier League?

Maybe it's just the font. That font looks kinda standard and bland.

I always called it the EPL anyways. haha Sucks that money controls the names of stadiums, leagues, even crazy sponsor decor on kits, but that is what is needed to work the organization.

Lots to be said for traditional titles and honoring the history of the club or league.

I like the picture and a lion is a great symbol.

EPL . Never cared about being called BPL .

Personally I have always called it the EPL, so in that context I won't really be affected.
