there is no point bitchin' a bitch, so dont worry
Why isn't that word censored out? ^^
This article is just bullshit, non of those players should leave. Except for Anderson who has probably not lived up to the expectative, there is no point on selling or letting go players just because of a bad form they are going through. We are not that kind of teams (not going to mention them) who sell players in bad form that eventually get to be world class and key players in the teams they are sold to.
^ Really, Nani shouldn't leave?
I think the only one who should leave is Young because he really is the only one who doesn't fit in the standard of Manchester United. The others are (still) class. Maybe Anderson's fortune will twist with new manager Moyes because you could see from time to time his capabilities of a world class midfielder.
Btw who was the dumbass with Vidic? His era is over? So was Scholes and Giggs era 5 years ago and they still play (or have played last season).
I agree with other players except for Cleverly and Vida...
Shite article.
Anderson
This one has been a long time coming: Anderson has, in simple terms,
not lived up to the player that we expected him to become. When United
shelled out over £25 million for him in 2007, they expected to be
getting a player similar to the player that Neymar has become. Anderson
seemed to be a revelation to the football world: the successor to
Brazilian Ronaldo's throne.
His story reminds us that finding a true talent in real life is much
harder than it is in FIFA 13. The Brazilian has been erratic at best,
frequently not fit and with a dismal passing accuracy. Put simply, he is
not good enough for Manchester United. He has had his chances to prove
himself but United should sell him now while he still maintains moderate
resale value.
Nani
Another one that will not be controversial here. Nani has to go. Like Anderson, he hasn't been consistent enough to
merit the contract that David Moyes has just presented him with. Also
from the "Class of 2007" Nani too retains some resale value and having
failed to live up to the gargantuan expectations set for him, it's time
for him to move on.
Ashley Young
Ashley Young was never good enough to play for Manchester United.
While he is exceptionally pacy and has an uncharacteristically accurate
long range curling shot, his dribbling ability is vastly overrated and
he often finds himself on the periphery of games.
He loses the ball to defenders more frequently than he beats them and
doesn't get nearly enough goals and assists to justify a starting
place. Tack onto that a dismal injury record and this is starting to
look like a rap-sheet. United should cut their losses on this one and
trust Wilfried Zaha with the left wing, or maybe bring in Gareth Bale.
Nemanja Vidic
Now for the controversial as promised: it's time for the captain to
move on. Vidic isn't the player he was four years ago and as he ages,
it's not likely that he ever will be again. It's time to cash in and
take the probable £15 million that many clubs would be willing to pay
for him. United have a plethora of centre-backs already and one
reportedly coming in Ezequiel Garay. The Vidic era is over - it's time
to start moving forward.
Tom Cleverley
Finally and most controversially, its time to sell Cleverley. Two
years ago, when Michael Carrick had hit a nadir in his career and
Anderson was unreliable as ever, Cleverley seemed like the messiah. He
seemed to carry United through the first five games of the 11-12 season,
leading the 8-2 pillaging of Arsenal along the way. However, his growth
seems to have stagnated.
He doesn't seem to be on the same wavelength as the other players
anymore: he's a step slow and his passing could use improvement. It's
telling when people say the player's best quality is his energy.
Cleverley is only 25 but doesn't seem to be getting any better. It's
hard to part with a home grown talent but Cleverley has been given ample
chances and hasn't been convincing enough. This sale doesn't need to be
immediate and should be low on the priority list (the other four are
much more important) but if a player like Cesc Fabregas were to come in,
it would be time for Tom Cleverley to go.
