isco, james, kroos, modric would all do well in barca and there isn't really any space on wings for hazard

btw they are 2 very similar players, technically and physically, they could be deployed in the same way on the pitch, imo. but in any case the thread is about personal preference, hence style. bringing stats into the debate to determine who is better is quite pointless because: they play in 2 different clubs and 2 different leagues. so again it should be about personal preference related to their style of football, not about establishing who is the best player.

That they play in different leagues and clubs shouldn't really matter when determining who's better? If anything Hazard have a huge disadvantage when it comes to those stats considering he plays in the EPL and not La Liga. Nobody needs a little Dr.Phil coming in determing under what preferences someone should pick either player. I chose Hazard because he's a better player and yes I like his "style" better too. But then I changed my mind because I watched the videos that tiki uploaded and realized that Iscos "style" is a bazillion times better. So still Isco for me.

yes it matters. if they played in the same league then stats, while still not giving the full picture, would be useful in this specific debate. that's because they'd play against the same opponents and league which has the same style of football (eg: spanish or english football). if you carefully read the OP, you'll see a question: "Which player do you prefer?". and, if you read carefully my previous comment you'll see that i'm not determining under what preferences someone should pick a player, i'm just saying that using stats to determine the best player, in this context, it's just silly.

Exactly, it's about personal preference and mostly people picks it out of styles (Im talking about players who have at least similar style and similar ranks). That's why stats is pretty irrelevant.

I pick Isco because I like his style more, but it doesn't mean he's a better player. I think Hazard still is.

How did this thread go so awry? It was just a simple question of who you prefer... "Which player do you prefer?" was the question, and answering it with "I like Isco/Hazard better" isn't that hard. The sarcasm was also completely unnecessary.

@Dynastian Probably because, lately, on this forum, being a Chelsea fan and trying to give his opinion always point to, you're biased, you're the same as your manager, Chelsea supporters are living in their own fantasy world, etc,etc...

Dont forget guys that Isco is just a piece of Madrid monster squad while Hazard is established as top 3 or arguably the best in his team. ( more place to shine )
Its like Alexis case, who was rating him as high as now when he was only a piece in Barca first team puzzle.

For those who find this thread odd, i find that Isco and Hazard are on the same level with diferent atributes but basically the same strenght overall, i wanted to see what do people think of this.

This may sound wrong for those who overhype their players, i also think Jese and Sterling are on the same level but with 2 trajectories one was lucky to develop in a team with less competition and pressure, the other is fighting for a starting place vs the BBC.

Yeah, I think the same of Sterling and Jese too, except Jese is a much more competent finisher than Sterling. Could say the same for Deulofeu if his attitude was better. He is more talented than both Jese and Sterling.

Isco for me he have to compete with the worlds best players.
