For those who were anticipating Neymar's move to Europe, Neymar signed a new contract this week and said that he is currently happy playing for Santos, despite the fact that he was heavily linked by the very giant clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Some of you may think that his decision is complete asinine, and yes, I may have to agree as well. However, I totally respect his decision cos of the following reasons.

1. If he moved to Barcelona, he would most likely be a bench warmer due to his age and other players in his position e.g Messi, David Villa, Pedro, and so fourth.

2. If he moves to Europe, it will take months, or even years for him to adapt whatever the style that particular country plays

3. He's enjoying what he's doing right now.

4. No offence, but Neymar is slightly overrated. Come at me, haters.

I agree with you. He's better off where he is at the moment. I honestly feel that the big clubs all around the world poach a lot of talent from Brazilian clubs. If they had stayed where they were imagine how the Domestic Brazilian league would be today! I disagree with your opinion about him being overrated...I think he's a pretty good player! Give him some time. I thought Balotelli was an overrated player but look at him now!

If he proves he can play in Europe I dont think he is overated same reason if you ask me whether Pele or Maradona Maradona anytime coz of Europe but Pele locally in Brazil and good in worldcup but he is still fantastic player,Maradona both the worldcup and barca Napoli
