My opinion on the never ending Suarez saga...

******SUAREZ******
-Let him leave
-Preferably not to Arsenal (or any other epl team), although it looks like that's where he's heading
-Make sure we get every single cent that he's worth
-Don't sell him in the dying seconds of the transfer window
-Find a good replacement with the money that we get from him
-Buy a couple of other players, preferably to improve out midfield and attack

Like most Liverpool fans, I've realised that there's no point in keeping him if he doesn't want to play for us -_-

Well, he hasn't done an official statement yet. Until then we will have to wait and see and I really hope this won't be a Torres reloaded where we sold him in the very last moment and got Andy Carroll ...

I must admit that Suarez has every right to leave but I doubt he will leave for Arsenal. Didn't he say that he is fed up with the English media and wants to leave for Real Madrid?

@nanda & @ihaveabbc: you might be surprised to hear me say that I am close to (but not entirely) as unhappy about this as you are. For years, Gunners have been begging Wenger to reinvest some of that mountain of cash stored away in the Emirates volt And for years we've seen our hopes dashed and watched our squad regress in quality. FINALLY, we decide to make a statement, have a right go for someone of elite quality and we choose... a diving bitey racist.

Now, dont get me wrong, i am not denying the fact that I would absolutely love to have Suarez "the player" on my team. As Lodatz said the other day, he'd be the IDEAL forward for a team like Arsenal. All the world knows we are in desperate need of a top class striker and Luis would go a long way to helping end our ever so famous trophy drought. That said, there are certain lines that must be drawn. While I am just as anxious to bring some prestige back to my club and have something to cheer about as the next fan, I have NEVER believed that winning should come at any cost. This is something I truly believe the ol' boys of the arsenal boardroom (for all their faults) have always believed as well. They know, like most fans that nothing beats the feeling of winning when you've done it through good old fashioned hard work. Victory is so much sweeter and true when you know your club didnt take any shortcuts to accomplish it. Otherwise, whats the point? it is a hollow victory. Likewise, it is a source of pride when a club hold true to their principles and that includes sportsmanship even when they suffer for it. And to that end our club has stood its ground amidst the changing winds of football and absorbed the criticism without deviation. Given all this effort, decades of cultivation, why would they be willing to jeopardize that by changing tact now?

I think spending 3x the amount of our record transfer fee on a liability such as Suarez is not only a Dangerous gamble but unbefitting a club of our tradition, standing, and reputation. I have also in the past said the same of Liverpool. At the end of the day Im just a young man sitting behind a computer so who am I to second guess the decision making of a lengendary manager, right? Still, this is how I feel and I cannot escape the feeling of guiltiness in landing such a player... especially one who even now, has demonstrated such lack of appreciation opand respect to his current club.

What makes it worse is Arsenal fans have been through this situation a few times these past years ourselves. Believe me, I feel your pain and anger. I know it is little consolation to hear that... but just remember, the club has been around longer, is stronger, and is far greater than any 1 player (legend or flop). I wish all parties a happy conslucion to this situation and if we do buy Suarez, I will cheer for his goals, I will be happy that he is playing with us intead of against us, But that doesnt mean I Have to respect him.
