Most over-paid vs. under-paid transfer - CIES' report 2015
tuan_jinn 9 years ago Edited
Manchester United, Netherlands 198 6912

According to CIES (the football observatory)'s article issued today (No. 117 - 08/09/2015):

  • Anthony Martial is the MOST over-paid transfer (gap of 27.9 mil)! AGREE
  • Raheem Sterling is the MOST under-paid transfer (should have been 95.1 mil instead of 63.0 mil)!!! WTH, this is utter bullshit.

(Inflation compared to 2009-2014: +23%)

EPL contributes the largest number of over-paid transfers and both teams from Manchester had 2 players each... this is NOT the Manchester United I've known :(

Anyway, those are interesting data, which some I agree and some I am like wtf...

I didn't expect Martial to be this perfect so soon. But I knew he was going to play amazing. His start has been much better than Sterling's. Also De Bruyne had a great debut but Man City's loss put him in the shade.
