They are renovating it for 600m vs a new stadium that is 1.2 billion. Rosell said he is also considering putting a statue of Messi in front of the Camp Nou. Thoughts?

^ LOL a statue of Messi? Yes, he maybe our greatest player ever but I think he has to be with us at least a while longer to have a frickin statue there. Maybe a manager?

This project looks brilliant. Wonder how Barca will pay it. And how they financial situation will be for the next years.

That was the rejected project by SECRAM, 1.2 Billion Euros and 150.000 places.
Instead they chose to renovate the stadium for 600M euros, i never though that renovating a stadium would cost that much.

@tiki_taka WOW This looks so much better !! You know I also never thought that renovating may cost that much . I would prefer building new stadium especially if it look like this and with 150 k seats . Maybe Barcelona president fears of the nature catastrophe chances ? However , if not on the sea than on the ground if there is a space .

No, they calculated the effects on a financial terms. And it could be devastating financially for Barcelona.
And i think even if it looks beautiful, they wont ruin the club and sportive objectives just to have the best Stadium.
Even for the renovations, i wonder where we will play between 2017 and 2021.
Considering that in Spain, a president is succesful only if he is succeeding in sportive term, its impossible for us to do what Arsenal did and let RM take all the titles, so ait and see.

Lol are you kidding me? I dont think Barca can afford that. Thats a way tooo huge project. Only sheiks from Dubai or Qatar can build these things.

If there is a statue of anyone outside Barca's gates, it should be Johan Cruyff.

And for a player : Ronaldinho. Everything started with him.
Also Xavi (our Giggs as he is the recordman of appearances in all competitions)...
I prefered Laporta philosophy, this Rossell looks like a bad copy of Perez. All this changes in our Club is making us richer but is destroying Barças identity wich was our biggest pride before being that succesful...
I didnt like the transition ,Unicef, Quatar foundation, Quatar Airways...
Welcome to modern Football competition :(

Well , you can always borrow money and rely on academy ?

Yeah statue should be to Ronaldinho , because he finalized what Cruyff started , then Xavi then Iniesta .

No, everything started with Cruyff. Laporta's "philosophy" was handed down by Cruyff, which eventually resulted in Ronaldinho's transfer. The emergence of players like Xavi, Iniesta, Guardiola, Messi, Puyol were all thanks to Cruyff. The tiki-taka system that you used as your username is from Cruyff's philosophy as well. Even the immense success of Spain's national team is thanks to Cruyff. Johan Cruyff has changed the history of football forever, and he deserves a statue in front of the legendary Camp Nou, so that all of damned Barcelona can pay their respect to the man before they watch their amazing football club play. Because nothing we have in football today would be possible without Johan Cruyff.

@Dynast Read what i' ve said. I agreed about Lodatz, i gave him +1.
then i said AND for a player, in addition to Johan Crujf just to say that i wouldnt glorify Messi before the end of his career.
That destroys players Ego, who is already huge... Like for Ronaldo Museum.
We should wait until the players career finish.

Lol, Ronaldo's museum was his own doing. And there were a lot of positives to that too, such as boosting Madeira's economy. I'll admit that making a museum out of himself wasn't the best of ideas, but I guess whatever floats his boat, huh? :P

Besides, we're probably going to dedicate a statue to the man after he retires from the Bernabeu anyways. Not sure if we have one for Puskas and Di Stefano yet though. :/
