Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

3 games, 3 wins, from expected winnable games.

Now none of those teams is the real test, but could we expect domination against them prior to Ole, in the last 3 years? NO. we might even loose.

I like a few quotes today from experts in the fields:

It's the manager who put the smiles on those players face and they are enjoying playing football.

And,

Teams going to Old Trafford fearing what they have to face, we are seeing that AGAIN, now.

It's a no-ending debate whether it's the manager or it's the players, but for sure, the manager's job is to make the best out of the players, and to set up style, vision of playing style. For so long, I haven't been able to enjoy this type of football from MU, I give Ole all the credit for that. Mourinho also had a flying start, but this time I have a better feeling

Ofc, we are not naive to NOT knowing we haven't seen the real test yet, and it can go wrong, but from what I have seen, we are on the right track.

The back 4 are going mad, attacking, Shaw flies around wining balls. Rashford... what a wonder kid again.

And Pogba, ... I am seeing the Pogba of Juve, and France. enjoying his football and being a beast. Hope he stays on his feet.

Let us MU fans enjoy the end of 2018 guys.

Happy new year!!!

@tuan Sanchez assist to Rashford was the most satisfying thing I saw all game long though. Was nice to see him pull such a perfect pass like it was nothing after having trouble at first when he came on. Congrats on the win anyway, lets get hyped for the next one against Spurs now! ;)

@golefty He seem massive for some reason, I didn't remember him this way if I'm being sincere. Did he got some more muscle? Anyway, he seemed decent to me but nothing spectacular either. Did his job well.

@Golefty: wasnt at his best, comstantly being attacked on the right wing but he stood strong, didnt offer much in attack but that is ok. He will improve. So im glad.

@Emo: Sanchez did look shaky at first, a bit lack of confident, this assist would boost him up amd another goal soon will do him real good. I hope Ole gives him some playing time, but im with mah boyz Martial & Rashford.

@tuan I can totally understand, I got nothing against Sanchez and wish him the best but I absolutely love Martial and Rashford. So yeah, I agree. :D

@EMo, he did look massive actually
, sanchez pass was nice but rashford was completely unmarked in front of net, Sanchez' run was brilliant however , crossing paths with rashford and pulling the defense away from him

Always love the Rashford and Martial combo :P I didn't mean anything against Sanchez though, but yeah I prefer our golden boys duo xD xD xD

We are more defensive in this game, and Newscastle parked the bus from the start until the opening goal, and their zonal marking has been working extremely well.

Also, I am not sure if any of us noticed how Matic has been playing out of his position a lot of the time, pushing too further up, and dribbling and trying difficult passes that resulted in the loss of possession. And when Newcastle counter-attacked, we lacked manpower from behind to stop. In the second half, he was much more disciplined, and held position and kept Newcastle attack to the minimum. Maybe it was something Ole and co told him!

The best part of the game must be the super-sub. 1 goal, 1 assist. So we can't ask for more :D

Damnnnnnn I just discissed with Dante the exaccccct same thing about Matic. He was a bit slow and weird in positioning, he did not do bad, but his slowness in pressing make our pressing tactic failed sometimes, cuz he just had a wrong position in the middle or too slow to approach the other receiving ball guy.

That is concerning, his dribble isnt like Messi, a bit slowish which made his passes obvious. He did control the tempo decently though, also big thanks to Herrera's work

Tough win, but we needed this more than ever. I still dread to find out that, in spite of winning 4/4 games, we are still 3 points behind taking over the 5th spot from Arsenal.

Next game against Reading is interesting. I hope Ole will field a youth team to play with a few reserve players.

       GK Romeo

RB Damien/Valencia CB Roshaun-William CB Lindelof Young

CM Pereira CAM Angel Gomes/Callum Gribbin CM Fred/James Garner

       RW Sanchez/Chong ST Greenwood/Lukaku LW Chong/DJ Buffon

To note is that Reading has been underperforming this season. With the lineup, there are some risks involved but we should take it!

And I hope Fellani will not play, as he will soon be sold by the club. Never a ManU material.

Spur 0 - 1 Manchester United today, a really really entertaining game, and Spur should have had at least a point if it wasn't for De Gea.

We enjoy another win with great spirit, great football (especially in the 1st half).

I can see we have some problem with defend, Matic is a bit slow and we allowed far too much space when it's closed to the box, we weren't rough or smart enough in defending. The defend system and CDM were shaky.

But great, sweet, hard win nevertheless

@tuan De Gea had a world class performance today, was really good. Spurs were a bit unlucky not to get a draw out of this but United really create problem for them in the first half which was great. Really hope United don't make it a thing to slow down when they take the lead though under Ole.

Many were waiting for the big test, and they managed an important away victory killing Spurs title chance.
Ole is achieving what nobody except SAF did before, hope it continues.

Oh, also, about De Gea against Spurs, read a statement Ben Foster said about the game, when answering people over their complain than most of De Gea save were "easy", he noted how placement was an important skill in itself for a goalie and that De Gea placement was really good in that game, thought it was worth mentioning.

Ole showed he can coach to tactics and strategy. This was one of the main areas people worried about. Thing is, the players are the biggest factor. They are enjoying the game again and working hard for the team.

Spurs should have scored at least two goals, if not more, but De Gea played his spot perfectly. The right position, the right choices, he made it look easy and that is world class.

However, if he has an off day or a few moment lapse, the game is on tilt. United have surely shown they are very capable, but they also need to take a good look at some areas to improve on. Be the Ole stays the head man or not, they will need to make some off season moves.

I also still say Sir Alex has a much bigger influence right now than people believe. He and Ole talk constantly and you can see some of that in the teams organization.

Keep pushing forward Red Devils, take it to the top 4 and get a Champions League spot again!
