lucky for City

I would be happier if he went to New York.
he was once my favourite player of all time not any more..
and pleeeaaase before any of you say that I'm a bad fan, fake fan etc, yes he is allowed to do whats best for his career but there should be a mutual respect.. we chelsea fans respect lampard so much that even when he scored against us we wished him well, but extending his contract?? wow thats just ........
i might be wrong but this is my opinion and nothing else will be changed lampard is still and always be a chelsea legend, i still like lampard but definitely not my favourite player anymore
@bluezz Right said.
the fans are outraged
Glad to see Lampard get an extended stay. He's been performing there, and coming up with some last-minute goals, so he deserves to spend the entire season there.
@Chelsea fans
Don't b*tch about Lampard scoring and making your title run easier. It was your own team's board that chose to let Lampard go. He was 100% willing to retire wearing the Blue jersey, but the Chelsea board decided that it was in their best interests to let him leave. He went and signed for New York, who are co-owned by Manchester City, and New York won't play any games until 2015. That's why Lampard chose to go on a loan deal to City so that his footballing skills don't rust. I have utmost respect to the man for his choices, and the fact that he requested City to not play him against Chelsea deserves even more respect. It's a shame they made him play against his wishes, but it made the game even more exciting for neutral fans to see him score the equalizer and raise his hands in apology to the Chelsea faithful.
Chelsea fans butthurt now hahahaha. Atleast you have other great midfielders. Why do you even need Lampard? Blame Mourinho for everything not the player himself.
I'm looking at all the tweets made by Chelsea fans saying they've lost all respect to him. It's his Football career, he chooses what to do. Just because he decides to stay at a big club for the rest of the season doesn't mean you have to all lash out at him, this guy is one of the greatest midfielders of all time! And he's proving it, he's in form!
@dynastian98
Wtf do you know what happened between Chelsea and Lampard ? STOP talking out of your a*s . Lampard did not want to take big pay cut and seat constantly on the bench ! Is that loyalty ? It always comes down to money and career . He made a decision and left . No one was pushed out ! We speak good of him just like he does about us , because he knows it was his choice !
Would Real Madrid pay to 36 years old, almost 8 million pounds a year for being rotation player ? One of your best players , Luka Modric , gets barely 7 million and he is a starting , young player and one of the best in the world . Does Madrid show loyalty to its players ? Ooh wait lets remember all the players that Madrid dumped like a Sunday Garbadge when they could not get best out of them , or when they barely hit 30s . Sh*t Madrid did not hesitate to throw away their icon , Raul when he wanted to retire at Madrid . Noble much ? Noble club ? Celtic is more noble club than Madrid ever be .
You living in a huge house made of very thin glass , not wise to throw rocks at others .
@chelseafans
I am very saddened that he decided to extend his contract , but then what player would not want to , when you get almost million pounds every month for being a rotation player ? Loyalty is hard to find these days , so I am not hating him , but for this season he is dead to me . Until he gets the fck out of that club . And Chelsea fans at Stamford bridge better not clap this man next time he visits . By extending his contract , he challenged us to a title . Why should we clap to a man who is ready to fight with our rivals till the end against us ?
It would be very very ironic if City wins the BPL because of Lamps...
@Marcus
You need to relax. I was talking about a player being loyal to his club, not clubs being loyal to players. I am not criticizing Chelsea to let go Lampard. They made the right choice. They opened up wage slots for fresher and younger talent (e.g. Cesc, who is performing fantastically this season). But they are incredibly unlucky that Lampard signed for NYCFC (directly linking him with Man City).
"We speak good of him just like he does about us , because he knows it was his choice !
Clearly not all Chelsea fans admire Lampard like you do. That's the reason I am saying this. I have seen many Chelsea fans criticize Lampard for leaving Chelsea and going on loan to City, your direct title rivals.
"Sh*t Madrid did not hesitate to throw away their icon , Raul when he wanted to retire at Madrid . Noble much ? "
Madrid offered Raul and Casillas life-long contracts that would be renewed every year as long as they played a certain amount of games. Casillas accepted it, Raul rejected it. Mourinho himself tried to convince Raul to stay, but Raul told the board he wanted to leave. Who's pulling sh*t out of their ass now, Marcus? ;)

Jeez, so sensitive. I wasn't dissing anyone.
LOL, I accidentally gave you a +1. Be happy, it probably means a lot to you.

@Dyn
We are not "unlucky" that he signed for Manchester... I mean New York City. He knew exactly what he was doing. Still respect him as a player but I would never ever, make a move like that. I would stay and get a pay cut, and even if I for some reason wanted money, I'd move to a club such as moneybags Monaco, never to a direct PL rival.
@Eden
Perhaps that is your personal opinion and choice. After all, we don't know what is going on in Frank's head. I understand it's hard for you to see him score goals for City to help them compete with your team, but that's the cruel reality right now.
@Dynst man you need to chill its to soon try and have a discussing with any Chelsea member about anything right now. The rule is to wait 3 days. taking 5 is tough and we sure know the taste of that.
Why extend the loan when that mls is gonna start? Thats my whole point
@Marcus, nice to see you talk crap again. Madrid throwing away their icon? It was his choice to leave. Mourinho wanted him to stay after the 2009-2010 season. Its nice to see you talk crap behind that russian money. no wonder glory hunters mostly start supporting english clubs first.
So are all the non Chelsea fans happy with City buying other clubs to lure players on loan to Manchester???
I respect the views of Dynastian98 but Marcus reply is spot on. And while Salahadin takes on the Dr. Phil role in this thread, he might be on to something.. I'd say it is a bit early to discuss Lampard for Chelsea fans.. I mean I don't even know what to think about the man myself anymore.. And last and least.. @iraqi_madridista fuck off., you know jack shit about anything anyways.. This thread is not about real madrid and you know jack shit about English football or Lampard for that matter.. your opinions are as always invalid..
@iraqi
Glory hunter ? Best you could come up with ? With all respect , I don't want to sit here and explain who is a glory hunter out of both of us . And who is hiding behind what kind of money , because arguing with you is same us arguing with a child . Grow a pair first .
@dynastian
What certain games ? He was offered a BENCH ROLE !! Casillas was guaranteed starter always. No one doubt him.
Mate , i watch football , I remember damn well how he was treated . He was 32 at the time still capable of doing the job as world class striker . He went on to score 40 goals and made 21 assists at Schalke in top flight games of Bundesliga and CL .
However, at Madrid he was booed by fans during his last season matches which he barely played , made little more than 13 appearances during Pelegrini reign and still took crap from fans. Madrid fans booed anyone they wanted . No one was spared even great Zidane and Ronaldo were booed . That is how loyal and respectful fans are in Madrid. Therefore , I did not like the comment , hinting that we don't respect our legends, from supporter of the club who is champion of not respecting legends.
I will wait patiently and see how Madrid deals with likes of Ronaldo , Bale , Modric and etc .
@eden

Pointless of both of you. I don't think you realize but both clubs would sack your ass once you start sucking,legend or not this is business to any top club and football have changed amigos..
Now since i am Dr Phil you should take my advice and cool down
The 36-year-old has made a big impact at City since joining the club in August, mainly with the intention to maintain his fitness before linking up with New York City for the Major League Soccer season which begins in March.
Lampard has scored six goals in 17 appearances for the Premier League champions, although he has only started three league games.His initial short-term contract at the Etihad was due to expire on January 1, but an agreement has now been reached for him to remain with City until May.
Lampard, who left Chelsea at the end of last season, will now be available for City’s Premier League game against Sunderland on New Year’s Day and he will continue to be available for all domestic and European games for the remainder of the campaign.
His extended stay with City has added value with Yaya Toure set to go to the Africa Cup of Nations in January, while forwards Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko are both currently injured.
New York have given the move their blessing with director of football Claudio Reyna saying: "Frank is a star and it is no surprise that Manchester City is rewarded by his contributions on the field every single day"
"He is eager to get to New York once his commitment ends in England and will be available to play on arrival as a permanent member of the squad given he will come to us having played at the highest level."
"We are all committed to making sure we build a winning team and that our fans get to enjoy great soccer at every single game."
"The opportunities open in the immediate transfer window combined with our recent successful draft ensure that we can continue to assemble a world class team that will make New York City soccer fans proud."
I hate City, and I wouldn't be surprised if "New York" signed more stars and loaned them to City
