More people will come to compare players saying that he is better because of that,no he is because of that.

well, I think Lampard is more important for Chelsea, than Xavi for Barcelona because when Xavi's eg injured, there are still Iniesta and Fabregas who can "replace" him. I can't think of any player who could replace Lamps - Mata? Hazard? Oscar? No. Lamps is irreplaceable for us. He's our skipper. Our legend.

You shouldn't consolidate your opinion merely by statistics.
Such a naive thing to do.
Xavi doesn't have as much goals and assists as Gerrard or Lampard does but
he's much more creative on the pitch and to me, that's an even more important factor.
But hey. That's just my opinion.
In tiki-taka, it isn't created so that Iniesta or Xavi gets all the assists.

@Man_utd It should actually. because those statistics shows what the club means to them and how they burn themselves on the pitch for their club. But as i said the 3 of them are amazing! 

This is like comparing Messi and Ronaldo. Both socre but are complete different players and play different roles in the team. Xavi plays a central role, and is a pass master, his awareness is second to none. Lampard is an Attacking mid that excelles in the final third besides the fact he takes the penalties for his team. Gerrard has become a defensive mid and occasionally pops up in the box.

'Assist' is a dumb word.

Say if Xavi played an amazing through ball all the way down the field to Messi ~ it's an open goal for Villa so Messi plays a simple pass to Villa. Villa scores. Messi gets the assist.. not Xavi.

This is the consistent thing about Barcelona.

So, please, stop complaining.

And just an FYI, i'm not saying that Xavi is better than those guys... no point arguing on this again. Also, Lamps & Gerrard are the pride of England so I respect them.

@Ramaboy I like your example but the difference here is that Lampard assists from a very long distance with a long cross or pass and make it easy to finish it. just remember how many goals Drogba scored from those accurate long passes & crosses. Lampard is a midfield maestro! I'm not disrespecting that Xavi or Gerrard they did great for both country and club too.

@raimondo90 The 3 of them played in 3 midfield roles CM, CDM & CAM.

@1Chelsea1 exaclty.. 3 different roles and task durring a game. You can't compare a defensive mid to an attacking mid.
