Based on this years league performance .

I would make a change in goalkeeper place . Fraser Foster kept 13 clean sheets that is 3 more than De Gea . This one is up for debate .

I would want to Put John Terry , but seems like stats are saying Pique is having a great season .

But then again based on stats we can put Fraser before De Gea or Courtois or Joe hart .

I would also place Matic but i don't know who to take out they are all brilliant selections .

Whats your take on this ?

i would swap hazard and messi and i would take fabregas out and put matic in and then swap places with modric

1. I would switch the left back to Marcelo
2. Replace Kroos with Matic and switch places with Modric
3. I would MAYBE (this is a tough one) replace Hazard with Neymar but both are equally fine for me
4. Lastly I would make the two wingers swap sides so Messi is right wing instead of left

Lol, Gaya better than Marcelo? That's hilarious. Azpilicueta is not better than Marcelo either. He is a player who is very ordinary but reliable. Marcelo provides immense attacking potential that Azpilicueta doesn't even come close to. Defensively, granted, Cesar is better than Marcelo. But overall as a LB or a wingback? Marcelo is much better and much more dangerous to play against. Especially since he's had a lot of cover from Pepe and Varane to run forward and wreak havoc. Gaya is basically a similar and more defensive breed of Marcelo but is still developing.

The list seems fine more or less, but I'm not a fan of Pique being there. Swap him with John Terry? Doesn't seem like too bad of an idea for me. I also disagree with Cesc being there because he really dropped off hard since the turn of the year. Matic or James would be my replacements for him. But you can always argue that Cesc was brilliant before 2015. Other than those two, everyone else seems to be fine.

Although Masche has been great this season, it's hard to debate that he's been better than Matic.

People forget Blind...he deserves to be in there...

The opposite is even harder imo...
Mascerano with Argentina, there you see his real worth, the Barça CDM position doesnt make players under spotligh, Yaya Toure or Busquets as example.
Mascerano is very underrated imo.

Matic is perfect defensively, but he lacks some control going forward, Javier is clinical.

@Dyn. I think its fair to say that Matic has dropped form just as much as Cesc. It's just the everyone was praising Cesc much more than Matic in the first half of the season that it seems as though he had dropped more form.

As for Azpi vs Marcelo.... I'd rather have a solid LB who hardly ever makes mistakes in defence but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Gaya probably is having a better season than Marcelo or Azpi . I think if we say overall Marcelo is better left back out of Gaya and Azpi .

Then it also comes down to preference and tactics in certain games , do I want attacking minded Marcelo or defensive minded Azpilcueta ? Marcelo is dangerous but remember how lost he was against Germany at World Cup ? He was completely ousted . He did not know where to be .

As far as Matic , he dropped form but he set high standards . However, he is still doing great job . His dirty work for Chelsea does get unnoticed lately . I think he works harder and hence Cesc dropped in form .

Cesc performance vs Stoke was very average , apart from winning penalty he did not do much . However, we are looking at it as overall season performance , so we can't forget his very impressive performance in first half of the season .

I hope Cesc and Matic are preparing few more great performance and finish solid .

I personally would take out Modric and Place Matic in there . He is fantastic player but he had injuries and did not have better season than Matic or had same impact on Madrid like Matic had on Chelsea . and I Matic is not great going forward but he can keep possession of the ball and change the flow of the game better than anyone .

I can't take out Kroos because he was workhorse this season and proved every penny was well spent on him . Deservedly there in best XI.

I like that no one is questions Diego Godin's place . Over two leagues he must be best defender , I will concede perhaps better than John Terry considering Godins age and him being in his best years .

What about De Gea , sure he pulls some fantastic saves but then we have Fraser Foster, who unfortunately received injury that will rule him out for rest of the season . Or we could say Joe Hart or who ever is having good year in La Liga ?

You know @dyna I am also not fan of Pique . Stats say his doing great but I think it is because Barcelona overall is doing great . under pressure Pique is not such impressive defender , plus I feel like he always needs guidance and will never take on the role of the leader or captain . He does not have that commanding role quality .

The Manchester City keeper hasn’t conceded a single goal from outside the box this season while his saves to shots ratio is a mighty impressive 70.83%. England’s number one might go through bad patches but he’s certainly hit a rich vein of form in recent times.

I would definitely pick Marcelo.

Who is in the right mind would take out Modric... He's simply the very best and the core of Madrid's mid... if you ever watch Real's play... you will see Modric makes the job easier for EVERYONE. Yes, he's that brilliant.

Matic is great, but Modric is simply unreplacable especially in attack.
