I wouldn't be the most pleased of people, that's for sure.

Source please.

Even if it's true, I never wanted him in the first place, which is why this move will be the most disappointing of all choices United has made.

Others beg Mourinho to come and mancs don't even want him.
I guess when he starts winning trophies everything will change and all of you will start to love him.

So sad for us Chelsea fans to lose him to Manchester United. :/

I don't think the manchester united board ever even talk about such a move, right now, I think its pretty much the fan who are asking for it. I heard something about Ferguson choosing Moyes instead of Mourinho as his successor, was it true? And if it is, I can understand most fan don't really want him, I mean, the manager who won them so many trophy refused to let him take over the club, I can understand why they don't really trust Mourinho too much.

@Heisinburg i completely agree with u, i don't want Mou but at the same time i kinda do. I made myself love mou( even tho it was hard) but if u think about it, its kinda would be a smart move for United especially since Pep went to city and some sources say Allegri to Chelsea, i know LVG can match these fixtures but he is inconsistent n i honestly kinda want LVG to stay until his contract expires because look at how many players from the youth are gettting a chance. WIth Mou, i highly doubt that will happen. Also there are many sources that state that Mou has agreed a deal but those sources i dont trust and i was in a huryy when i posted the thread so sorry about that.

@Joze ya i cant even lie, he is a genius but look at how all his players turned on him at CHelsea, hopefully if Mou comes in, he doesn't have trouble in his 3rd year because now it is becoming a fact that in his 3rd year he messes up a lot.

@Emobot their r many sources that say that Ferguson called Mou first and stuff like that but i honestly don't know the proper story and quite frankly i don't even care cuz its in the past.

@UnitedWeAre,

actually even if I did like Mourinho, I still wouldn't like him as our manager. I don't think his principles and philosophy matches with our club, which was why I was so irritated when Guardiola joined City instead of ours since I thought he was perfect for us.

Another reason why I'm against this move is because I don't think I will ever like him due to the fact that he already made a name for himself in the league with Chelsea, a club I really despise (no offence Chelsea fans).

So appointing him to be our manager is like asking Chelsea for another favour, after signing Mata (who is a good player and I'm happy he's with us).

United needs a short term victory at least, this will probably happen with Mou within 2 years, it's actually not a bad choice.

Considering Pep is gone and Giggs is not ready, getting Mou is the best choice. I will go on a limb here and say that I think Mou will change his tactics to go with the club history. He has admired the style for a while now and I think he will look to challenge himself to match what is the foundation of the club. He can clearly coach, we have all seen it. I won't be surprised if he looks to attack, builds for attack, while continuing to grow the solid defense United already has.

If nothing else, we gotta give him a chance. What has LVG shown to keep his job beyond the season? Perhaps if they just kill it the remaining games, get back into the Champions League and finish out respectably, maybe he can be considered to retain. I am not sure the players are in the same locker room with him though.

Mourinho is a great manager. With that being said, I would hate him at United cus' he is just not the right type of manager for the club.

Quoting a very famous United song: F@ck you Mourinho, you son of a b*tch!

Lets keep it that way.

I hope Mourinho stays as far from my club as he can. He doesn't deserve United.

Can you share the source? What I've read online shows that Mou's confident that United will appoint him. Nothing concrete yet. If United wins on Sunday, and say Arsenal/ Tottenham lose, I highly doubt United will hire him.

@unitedweare He can go to any match he want but if I really had to see any meaning in there, I would say he might consider Dortmund as a plan B.

Why would Dortmund want to appoint Mourinho? They've only just appointed Thomas Tuchel, who's doing very well in the Bundesliga sitting in 2nd place with a big gap to the next rival. His team plays attractive football (Dortmund has scored even more goals than Bayern this campaign) and he's basically the future of German coaching. Additionally, Dortmund isn't such a financial powerhouse as Bayern München, they've barely avoided bankruptcy some years ago and missed out on CL this year, too. I don't think they'll want to pay Mou's hefty salary.

@JuanMata10 Well, yeah, Dortmund doesn't really have a good reason to appoint Mourinho but he could have some good reason to want work there, winning the Bundesliga could be one. Like I said, maybe he just went to see the match for the sake of seeing a good match.

What a throw-back to dig up this threat. Back then, I guess it was fair to say Mourinho to United was quite a controversial move at the time. :)

Anyway, compared to back then, how you feel about the whole move?
