oi there mate, so FR talkroom beta is not working? i asked in the thread but no one replies. logging in a zip
1-2 now, bus left a big hole.
3-1. AM are outplaying be a mile.
Difference in class between Chelsea and Atletico has always been huge. Don't know why people were saying that "it won't be 4-1 like last time" and "last time Falcao did all the damage". Hell no. It was the entire team. And they've done it again. If there was no bus in the first leg, it'd be a scoreline even worse than the 5-0 thrashing of Bayern by Real.
Are you surprised ? Im not.
@Tiki
I won't lie, I'm slightly surprised. But it must've been because the media overrated Chelsea ahead of this match. All of that got to my head, and I predicted a 2-0 or 1-0 win for Chelsea. I forgot that the moment any team attacks Atletico, they're going to get bashed on the counter.
By the way, what do you guys think? Whose season has been better? Simeone in 2013-14, or Mourinho in 2003-04?
DAMN THAT'S A SPICY MOUTH-WATERING FIXTURE. MADRID DERBY IN THE FINAL BABY
Aww yeah, Atletico and Barca both beat Chelsea and City quite convincingly, and Madrid killed the Germans 17-4. Spanish teams are on the rise.

simeONE, that is all
"Don't know why people were saying that "it won't be 4-1 like last time" and "last time Falcao did all the damage"."
Because both of those things were true.

From Now on I am atletico fan .... can't complain Atletico was just too good to chew . And Courtois if only he did not make that save maybe we could have had a chance . No Margin for error and we made quiet few .
Now Lets go Atletico :P
@Lodatz
Look at the scoreline and the match mate. Atletico bossed Chelsea. At the Bridge. Don't go into denial. ;)
@Marcus
You see, this is why I criticized Mou's tactics so heavily in the first leg. Chelsea fans, just think about it. Just imagine what this game could've been like if you'd gotten that one away goal. Just one, and this whole game would've been in your hands. Now do you realize why I said Mourinho used cowardly tactics? Because he could've taken this whole tie into his hands, but let the opportunity slip. I understand you missed Hazard and Oscar, but come on. You're not 2nd in the EPL without a reason. You still have decent firepower.
If Chelsea countered more often in the first leg, they would've made it through.

*"Look at the scoreline and the match mate. Atletico bossed Chelsea. At the Bridge. Don't go into denial.* ;)"
I'm not in denial. The Super Cup meeting really WAS all about Falcao's individual goals, and the scoreline was not as open as that game.
So... both things were true. This game was on a knife-edge, that was ultimately decided by a penalty. Before that, it was an even contest. Atletico didn't 'boss' Chelsea at all. Chelsea had more shots, more tackles, and a virtually even possession percentage.
Saying that Atletico showed they have 'much more class' is just a) gloating and b) incorrect.
Do you believe that Real showed they have 'much more class' than Bayern yesterday? Would you really care to suggest that class or talent is a department in which Bayern are lacking? I certainly never would have said that about Barcelona last year, for instance.
Don't be a bad winner, in other words. ;)

"Saying that Atletico showed they have 'much more class' is just a) gloating and b) incorrect."
Wtf, when did I mention the word 'class'? You're completely changing the argument. I don't give a rat's ass about who has more class.
"This game was on a knife-edge, that was ultimately decided by a penalty. Before that, it was an even contest."
A penalty is a goal, and it was a fair penalty. Costa got hip-checked by Eto'o, and the call was fair. Just accept that Atletico played better over two legs.
0o ?
PL-fanboy Lodatz still in denial....
You didn't make a point about class?
"Difference in class between Chelsea and Atletico has always been huge."
Yes you did. And then you went on to make another claim to support this. I have given a rebuttal to that.
"A penalty is a goal, and it was a fair penalty."
I didn't way it wasn't. That's not the point I made. I said that, ultimately, this tie was decided by that penalty. Atletico won. I have no issues with this. The point I was making is that you were applying things to that victory which weren't really true.
Like I said: don't be a bad winner, is all. ;)
ETA: oh, and just to continue the point about 'class', it's always kind of funny to watch someone like knibis, who gloats, lies and is utterly biased, always prove that it's the anti-PL people who always display a lack of class, not the PL fans he thinks he's better than. ;)

Well too much philosophy while things are very clear, you will admit it one day lodatz but dont take too much time...
Chelsea wouldnt pass PSG without the PK, AM would have still passed Chelsea with or without PK (without talking about other chances and 3rd goal...).
Whats your point ? Barça got a PK against City, Atleti the same, Madrid 5-0 against Bayern isnt releavent....
Do you really still think this ?
Well too much philosophy while things are very clear, you will admit it one day lodatz but dont take too much time...
@tiki: well, in that case, Chelsea were MUCH better, and had MUCH more class than Barcelona in 2012. After all, they won one game, and drew another.
Agree?
No?
Then understand that what I present is not philosophy, but CONTEXT. And context is very important.
